Claudio Echeverri will leave Manchester City on loan for the 2025-26 season with Bayer Leverkusen. There is no option or obligation to make the move permanent with Echeverri due to return to City.
Borussia Dortmund, Lazio and Girona also pursued a loan for Echeverri, a 19-year-old forward who was signed in January 2024 from River Plate.
Echeverri was signed by City for £12.5 million and will now play for Erik ten Hag in the Bundesliga as he continues his development. Echeverri could help Leverkusen replace Florian Wirtz, who left the club to sign with Liverpool this summer.
