So inquiring about the strike zone is disrespectful but accusing another player of taking steroids isn't?
Okay Pham.
Okay Pham.

Will be interesting to see if any team signs him long-term as a shortstop this offseason. Can just about guarantee it won't be the Jays.

I see social media dumbasses calling for a beaning of somebody on the Pirates to make up for Pham.
This incident is clearly not worth starting a war over, where we then potentially get thrown at.
Let it go, guy is a loose cannon and nobody was hurt or thrown at on the Jays.

I'm not unopposed to this approach, but there's a pretty good chance Scherzer will hit Pham tonight at some point if he's in the lineup.

Agreed, I wouldn't hit another player because their teammate is an unhinged dumbass. That's not fair and you always risk hitting an elbow, finger, wrist etc and ruining their career.
You hit Pham if he's there.

Barger was suspended in 2019 and 2021. Then bulks up into the hulk in one off-season. Even as a jay fan you have to question it.

I saw the one Pham posted for 2019. Source on the 2021? I thought the one was ADHD medication.

If you're basing that on this tweet. I'd be a bit careful.
He's also listed as 210. And did he start at 160? I dunno...

You don't gain 60lbs in one off season because it's physically impossible unless you are eating a horse every day. He did not go from 160->220 in one off season.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

That account can't be trusted for anything, but there has been a report that Barger got busted for something back in 2019 (a suspension that likely also extended into 2021 considering there was no minor league season in 2020 for him to sit out games).
In any case, I've got no issue with Barger being on anything that might help us win games (so long as he doesn't get caught).

I guess this means Barger's Hall of Fame chances have diminished a bit.
Seriously though, if he was on it before and no longer on it, then it is what it is. Just stay off of it now. It clearly wasn't an Orelvis situation where he got off it and suddenly couldn't hit for power anymore.

Pham's a tool but i also have to question Barger gaining 60lbs in one off-season.

Depends on if he's likable or not. Was no problem for David Ortiz.

As Fairview said, no way he did actually do that.

Whatever reason Barger placed on the Restricted List, he was 19 at the time. Tommy Pham is a 37 year old, bringing up hearsay from 6 years ago, about another player he doesn’t know, from when they were a teenager, in an argument with a fan online.

If he did, he was so secretive about it that he must have worn weights for his weigh-in last season.
Barger, per his MLB player page today: https://www.mlb.com/player/addison-barger-680718
- 6'0", 210lbs, age 25.
Barger, per his MLB player page in 2024: https://web.archive.org/web/20240730232205/https://www.mlb.com/player/addison-barger-680718
- 5'11", 210lbs, age 24.
I'm not a mathematician, but I'm pretty sure that the difference between 210 lbs and 210 lbs is less than 60 lbs. Can somebody doublecheck my math?

There's no age limit to being an idiot.

Okay Pham.
1. Pham seems to have roid rage.
2. There does seem to be some unusually large players in the league atm. Not naming names but a few on the jays.
