Good stuff! He must be improving and learning so much about the game from A'ja

If you swap him and Aja we’re likely the favorites to come out of the east, if he can be 75% of her we have a punchers chance

I’m also curious to see Jovic at the 3. I think there’s something there with his point forward ability. European Lamar Odom with frail Bynum and melanic Gasol in the front court.

That's where he's spending his time in these Euro games. Shooting 3s , driving hard on the catch and pinning smaller wings under the basket

Jovic is already the starting 4. Read the tea leaves all summer. No need for a backup Center when you already have Ware who will log plenty of minutes.

Huh, that does make sense with their roster choices. Unless Goldin or Keshad pops, it probably does make more sense for Jovic to start next to Bam. There's really no one else

Niko is building nicely. We probably should've extended him this offseason - he might get expensive in 2026/27 RFA.

This lineup looks like a dream for us and a nightmare for the opposing team. Jovic bam and herro can take turns running the offense and thats a huge lineup

That’s not going to happen. Spo will play him at the 4 spot. It’s fine Ware can come off the bench.

The roster makes so much more sense. Ware will still get a ton of minutes.

We'll see I guess.

But to me that just offers 3 negatives'

1. Demotes Ware
2. Forces Bam back to C which he doesn't want.
3. Doesn't take full advantage of Jovic

What's the long term plan if Ware is a back up C?

My guess is Spo will still go with Niko as 6th man, where he will get a lot of reps on ball and be more of a focal poin. Gotta keep your stars happy, which means Edrice at the 4. Niko will also be part of the 4th quarter lineup, which I'd guess will be Herro/Powell/Wiggins/Jovic/Bam.

Starters / Rotation:

Tyler Herro / Davion Mitchell / Terry Rozier / Kasparas Jakucionis
Norman Powell / Pelle Larsson
Andrew Wiggins / Jaime Jaquez / Simone Fontecchio
Bam Adebayo / Nikola Jovic / Keshad Johnson
Kel'el Ware / Vlad Goldin

I think you'll see Ware and Bam rotate the 5 slot for all minutes. If Spo goes extra small, Keshad will play defacto 5.

Honestly Spo probably wants to start a lineup of Mitchell/Herro/Powell/Wiggins/Bam

Just saw Beasley cleared of the gambling allegation.

Did the Heat have any prior interest in him? I've been out of the loop for a bit.

I saw where Ware is basically a lock to start beginning the season but I can’t remember who said it. If it was 5 reasons disregard.

It’s definitely crossed his mind, that’s the exact type of lineup he loves

Not that I know of, and after dealing with this Rozier thing I doubt we'd have any interest now.

Lol the funny thing is this all started from a genuine comment. I didn't know it was controversial to acknowledge Aja is a better basketball player. She's literally the best women's basketball player in the world (at minimum top 3). I can't think of anyone who would mistake Bam for being the best men's basketball player or anywhere near the top 3.

Genuinely didn't expect for it to descend into LDE from multiple posters, but I guess they can't help what they were born with. And if the mods like it, I love it

Back on topic, I do think a lineup of Herro/Wiggins/Jovic/Bam/Ware would be ideal. I see no point in demoting Ware back to the bench. Give him the opportunity to show and prove.

The only real downside is Herro at 1. But you get size and a good blend of offense and defense. And the second unit of Mitchell/Larsson/Powell/JJJ should still have some balance too, despite there not really being a backup C option atm.
