I would’ve tried to get him earlier, but free agency had to come first. Still, it’s nice picking up a guy under 25 who’s shown flashes of being a really good offensive player and shooter. Low risk, possible high reward.

He definitely had stretches last year where he looked like an NBA player, so when I inherited the Celts I was intrigued. But I was pretty alarmed by the Lakers games I saw in summer league; he should have been out there dominating -- or at least trying to -- but just looked like he could not care less. Those guys don't often last long. So I gave up hope and put him on the trading block. Enough time passed that I warmed back up to the idea of keeping him. Then with free agency I inadvertently backed myself into a cap corner (lesson learned: double-check your bids before hitting submit, even if you're crazy busy at work), so...I hope he figures it out as a BAF Warrior!

I wonder if the failed trade took a toll on him mentally. Hopefully he can bounce back and have a great year with Luka running the show. Teams always need a sniper and fearless finisher at the rim.
You’ll definitely get used to free agency. Tre Jones is an underrated acquisition. Steady two way guard with a nice read for the game and pretty sweet floater. Efficient too! I definitely tried to get him for cheap.
