Re: OT TV and Movies (Please use spoiler tags)
Watched the most recent Dexter Resurrection. Not a huge fan of the direction it's going. Doesn't seem like true Dexter. I'm still interested in the relationships and story line. I wouldn't be surprised if they do a second season, but I still hate they chose NYC for this season. All in all, it's been great so far IMO.
Always Sunny has been as expected. Decent, not great. I went and rewatched some of random seasons and it's just not the same which is understandable.
Mr. Robot has been fantastic. I'm actually really enjoying season 2 so far, for all it's weirdness. And plan to finish it out.
I'm sure you're all like, "how do you have time to watch all this TV with two kids?" The answer is simple, work has been a dumpster fire from leadership and my meetings have been cut into a third of the usual, barely anything to do, so I just crunch on the boring **** while watching shows. And maybe the occasional video game session.

But now I’m wondering if this is some cruel and unusual torture I’m subjecting her to knowing where this journey is headed.
Hoping the amount of loose ends and the overall ending aren’t as bad as I remember.
Just finished S1. The Island and all the mini mysteries around each character are still all so captivating. I think if I treat them as cool elements/coinicdences instead of things that need answers than it will all be more enjoyable. Like what logical explanation for the smoke monster would be satisfying? 40 minute episodes absolutely rip, seems easier to watch four 40 minute episdeos in one sitting than two 2-hour episoes for some reason. I'm actually enjoying a lot of the filler that you don't find with modern 8 episode a season TV anymore. Makes things easier to digest.
I don't know if I mentioned this before, but my oldest daughter and I watched it Maybe 12-14 years ago (she was about 10).
But I made her wait a week like we all had to. And then wait 4 months between seasons. We watched it every Wednesday night for 6 years (minus summers). It was pretty great. She loved it. I'm not sure if she cheated near the end, but she still sat with me every Wednesday.
My youngest wants to do it too, and we'll be starting on September 22 (20th anniversary of the premiere). I doubt that this one won't cheat though lol. I think the anticipation makes the show better personally.
This is incredible. The level of restraint is slightly sadistic.

She binge-watched it recently and said it was way better my way, which, in turn, led to her talking her sister into doing it. I'm pretty excited to do it again. I'll check in on May 23, 2031 when we finish.

Agreed.
Might be the most Soderbegh film ever and Stamp owns it.

I don’t care for comic book movies, for a lot of reasons. But I love the style, vibe, and uniqueness of those two films.

Signed up for the new ESPN/Disney/Hulu package. I loathe modern ESPN as much as anyone, but you can't deny that their original library isn't ridiculous. I mean, there's 120 30 for 30s.

Peacemaker had such a kickass opening credits song and I hate that they changed it for the new season.
John Cena remains perfect in this role btw.

You’d probably like Entergalatic then

I didn't bother going to see Final Reckoning because I thought Dead Reckoning was pretty average. But watched Final Reckoning at home last night and really liked it. Really, really good set pieces. The nods to past movies were bordering on obnoxious, but I overall they were fun.
Still suffered from a dumb/bad villain.

Re: OT TV and Movies (Please use spoiler tags)
I've watched so much stuff on so many different streamers over so many years that I sometimes forget what I've watched. I'll start watching a movie that looks interesting and eventually I'll remember that I've seen it but I've wasted time.
I want to download my viewing history. Very easy on Netflix. Easy to download everything you've watched and the date to a .csv file. I think it would also be cool to be able to share a history file with others.
On Prime I can find the history but no way to download and the format it's in isn't really searchable.
There is no watch history that I can find on Hulu and Paramount+. I haven't tried Peacock.
Anyone ever tried to download your history.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I recommend using Letterboxd. I used to just manually keep track of every movie I watched in a Word doc because I enjoyed seeing the history. Letterboxd just makes it easier.

I've had this same issue and the couple apps I've tried didn't really work like I wanted. Had not heard of this one, but is it only movies or does it have TV too? Quick read on app store just says movies

Letterboxd is the most popular movie tracking app as far as I can tell. They've said they will add support for TV, but I don't think they actually have yet.

What's the difference between Letterboxd and just entering stuff manually in a spreadsheet?

If you only care about keeping track of what you watch, there's not much. But Letterboxd can be good for suggestions based on movies you've logged. There's a bunch of cool stats & stuff, but you have to pay for that.
I started tracking a long time ago so my history was all over the place. It was good for me to get it centralized.
