The Thunder are over the lux tax a bit. I'm sure they can get under in many ways, but this seems easy to me

Bulls have plenty of space under the lux tax, and they could use some more size. Dieng is a 4/3, Phillips is a 3/4-plus I think Dieng has more potential.

Bulls get an almost guaranteed pick in '27
OKC gets under the tax and a pick that has a good chance to be around #18 and they get a look at Phillips

For sure, both picks are more valuable, but I would say the Den '27 pick is more valuable than the Port pick-not sure on that?

All im saying at their level of controls left it probably cost seconds to move instead of a first . Albeit another first is coming back .

As for the picks, if the OKC motivation is money in the near term, they are just fine trading a 27 first to avoid a guaranteed rookie contract, even if the PORT pick turns into a pair of seconds farther down the road. The Bulls probably prefer to have an extra 27 pick over 26 when they will be spending cap space and don't want 2 rookies to find time for.

The love affair with Dieng conflicts with his developing on the Bulls. You want to see a 4/3, well how is he going to develop behind the future of the franchise, Buzellis. Matas isn't going to slide to the 3 when the Bulls just got Okoro for 2 years and still have Williams for more with Essengue in line for small bursts.
