Bassitt and Scherzer's contracts will be off the books, and same with Chad Green's ridiculous salary. That is 47 million dollars freed up right there in the off-season. If Bieber pitches like this the rest of the year and looks like his old self all the way to October, I would definitely offer him 4 years and 100 million.

No Vlad in the lineup again. Time to IL him already so we can play with a full bench for these games.

That move doesn't make sense assuming he can come by Monday or Tuesday. I would rather be able to play Vlad in Days 7-10 or days 8-10 (assuming he is able) and having a short bench in days 4-7, rather than having him IL'd so we could have a full lineup between days 4-7 and Joey Loperfido instead of Vlad for days 8-10.
