Manfred once again gives his beloved Red Sox a favorable schedule entering a Yankee series.

It’s funny, I was thinking yesterday that Wells played a lot better last year when he had the mustache and he brought it back last night and hit 2 home runs. That can’t be a coincidence that he decided to shave.

I didn't mind the long games either, i grew up watching lengthy games on WPIX ("Hello, Phil Rizzuto here") but I like current pace. Again. Less ball scratching and spitting, more hitting and pitching

But that would mean less time for Phil to talk about cannoli and if there was going to be traffic on the GW Bridge.

 !!!! Now that takes me back to when i was 8 years old.

Yankees going to Yankee...this is a team that really really doesn't deserve any of our trust. Just a reflection of Aaron Boone, Cashman and Hal. Losers. Loser mentality. Got exposed by the Dodgers and tried to hide and pretend nothing happened.

Doval looks horrible; Weaver giving up runs two games in a row. Just bench Volpe and start Cabellero. We had Rice, Goldschmidt and Chisholm with 6 hits in front of Volpe and McMahon, and those guys go 0-8.

4 Errors...

Losers.

These are the real Yankees. The team that is incapable of winning close games especially against good teams. Losing to the Sox has become accepted by the Yankees.

Is there a team that gets less out of the minors than the Yankees? Who is the last healthy good starter it produced?

The young dudes on the Yankees, outside of Rice, are letting us down. Volpe is lost. Wells is lost. Jasson, I have some hope for, but Boone has been quiet benching him this past month in a way that he won't ever do for Volpe.

McMahon is okay and the type of #9 hitter you might want if your lineup is set, but the problem is his $16 mill contract is going to used as an excuse not to get a real difference maker this offseason, which might have been what the FO really wanted.

Oh, and we might need to extend Bellinger/Grisham or pray Spencer Jones is ready to carry.

And Boone has to go at this point. His culture sucks. He plays favorites with players like Volpe and Devin Williams, his team is sloppy on the field, and they choke regularly in the biggest moments. He's very good at deflecting accountability for his players from the outside though.

Man, Boone treated Torres a lot worse than Volpe.

If anyone is still rooting for this version of the Yankees, why?

I dunno. I’m on the verge of not caring. Hal doesn’t care, Cash doesn’t care, Boone doesn’t care and the team doesn’t care, so I probably would have a lot of company.

It's a waste of time, don't sacrifice your free time especially with good weather still watching this team.

The thing is I could actually live with a rebuild or retool season if this team had even a sense of what direction they need to go in it would start with getting rid of Boone which was right before the allstar break.

Judge could learn a thing or two about leadership from Jalen Brunson.

A rebuild means trading Aaron Judge.

These kinds of throws should never happen at the major league level.

He needs to sit.

The culture starts with Cashman. He didn't want a manager that has his own vision and cussed out the players like Girardi did. Boone is doing exactly what they want him to do and this is the end result.

Gleyber had an attitude problem, Volpe has the yips.

Don't get me wrong. I'd bench Volpe tonight for the foreseeable future. But I understand why Boone got fed up with Gleyber quickly.

Correct, it's why I put the word retool in there. Judge should've been on the IL longer. I still don't think he's fully recovered from that injury, that's another issue you now have 2 dhs in Judge and Stanton, so now you have to sit one of your starters.
