Wisconsin is playing in Beloit and the Beloit announcer has been having former radio and writer guys in the booth from back when Beloit was part of the Milwaukee farm system and they've spent the last hour or so Remembering Some Guys. They're all still clearly Brewer fans. It's been a fun broadcast.

Quick little article from Rosiak.

Made and Peña were part of a defensive timeshare at Carolina, splitting time at shortstop, second base and third base. Estevez said that at Wisconsin, each will play three games per week at shortstop and two at second with a day off mixed in.

“It’s been very, very impressive,” Estevez said. “Watching those two guys come to the field and perform, it’s outstanding. For kids 18 years old, I’m very impressed with them right now.”

ReasonablySober wrote:Manuel Rodriguez is gonna be a fascinating pitcher to track next season. It's possible he starts out in AA as a 20 year old and gets absolutely shelled. He doesn't have strikeout stuff, doesn't throw hard, but he also doesn't walk anyone and he's got a four (maybe five?) pitch mix. If he sees a bump in velocity he could really be a legit prospect.

Hot Sheet.

16. Jaron DeBerry, RHP, Brewers
Team: Double-A Biloxi (Southern)
Age: 22
Why He’s Here: 1-0, 0.00, 7 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 9 SO, 0 HR
The Scoop: A third-round pick out of Dallas Baptist in 2024, DeBerry has quietly had an excellent season across three levels. So far in Double-A, DeBerry has not slowed down. He’s ridden his high-spin curveball and lower-launch fastball to success. This week, DeBerry spun seven scoreless innings against Chattanooga, striking out nine and allowing four hits and no walks. DeBerry shows pitchability and intriguing traits, so some added velocity will likely go a long way to sustaining this success in the long term. (GP)

Prospects Live made their end of the season update:

#3 - Made
#9 - Pena
#86 - Quero
#92 - Henderson
#100 - Adamczewski

I know Pratt didn't light the world on fire in AA this year, but he was still very young (spent all season there as a 20 year old), showed off a great glove and arm, and had months with .750, .791., and .876 OPSs. I think he's going to be in line for a monster second season in Biloxi next year.

Totally random - A Brock Wilken 2026 grim reaper-esque redemption tour is going to be oh so sweet.

Luis Peña, SS, Brewers

2024 90th Percentile EV: 99.9
2025 90th Percentile EV: 104.7
Gain: 4.8 mph
Peña is one of the biggest breakout performers of 2025, and he didn’t just boost his surface-level production. The Brewers infielder also substantially increased his power upon jumping stateside. Peña has hit .289/.360/.458 across 86 games spanning both Class A levels in 2025. His 4.8 mph jump in average exit velocity likely had something to do with the jump in-game power early this season.

Peña saw a 42-point jump in isolated slugging between his 2024 DSL season and his Low-A debut. Those power gains have transformed him from a talented hitter with a profile driven by strong plate skills to one of the more advanced teenagers in the minor leagues in 2025. A star in the making, further improvement to Peña’s strength and subsequently his exit velocities will likely continue to lead to top notch production.

McDaniel/ESPN updated their system rankings.

6. Milwaukee Brewers ($297 million)
Preseason rank: 8

The Brewers are bordering on the "Breaking Bad" "He can't keep getting away with this" meme as they continually field a competitive (if not excellent) big league team on a shoestring budget but also have young players regularly appearing in the big leagues and have a strong farm system. The Brewers might have four players get votes for Rookie of the Year this season: Jacob Misiorowski, Isaac Collins, Caleb Durbin, and Chad Patrick. It should be no surprise that Milwaukee also leads the league in quality depth in its farm system, too.

Of all the national pundits and outlets, he's always been relatively cooler on the Brewers than industry consensus.

MLB.com: 4th
Baseball America: #1 (albeit with Miz)
Fangraphs: 4th
Bleacher Report: 2nd
USA Today: 3rd
