Nikola Jovic said he was motivated to perform well in the Serbia-Slovenia exhibition game because his Miami Heat head coach, Erik Spoelstra, "perhaps the best coach in the world," traveled all the way to see him.

In an exhibition game featuring two of the best basketball players in the world—Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic—Nikola Jovic stole the show. He finished as the leading scorer with 18 points (7/8 2PT, 1/2 3PT, 1/1 FT) and grabbed seven rebounds in 19 minutes.

Who the f wrote that? It sounds like nationalistic propaganda. I’m all for pride in one’s nation, but notice the pattern: Spo is “perhaps the best coach in the world” while Jokic is one part of “two of the best basketball players in the world” who “stole the show”. What country is Jokic from? Serbia? This is an article from a Serbian publisher isn’t it? Hey I like Serbia, great nation. But quit boosting Spo up. Dude needs to be humbled and start winning some game asap.

Yeah, I mean Spo was voted best coach in the league by GM's in 4 of the last 5 seasons, despite never winning one.

Jokic has been 1st or 2nd in MVP voting every year for the past 5 years with 3 MVP's.

Doncic is a year removed from being 3rd in MVP voting and making the NBA finals and is younger than SGA. He has made 1st team All NBA for the past 6 seasons he qualified.

There is nothing particularly egregious in those comments.

Some people just seriously hate Spoelstra. I reckon to those people, he will never be capable of doing anything up to their standards. Fortunately, the front office and about every player has no issues with him while he has led average teams to the finals multiple times.

Spo has definitely produced some teams that have way overproduced. He also has had generational teams that have underperformed. Overall, he is a great coach but last season was a CF. Most of the blame for last season lies on the GM for the roster Spo had to work with, but Spo packed it in early last year too. Probably due to the personal **** he had going on. Hoping for the best this year, expecting the worst.

That’s Bam if you turn down the speed to 0.75x and then she pump fakes before finally shooting it.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

You’d think she’d be shooting it at a higher percentage than him! Using the pump fake to try and get people off balance isn’t a bad thing, especially when majority of the players you’re up against are taller than you. We had the GOAT pump faker for several years.

Not too many pump fakes using it throughout this video.

Dragic really is the perfect kind of guy for KJ to learn from.

Tbh, with how positive Spo has been with him this offseason and the positive buzz from Heat media if hes healthy he's got that extension. This might be his breakout year.

The biggest thing I'm looking forward to seeing this season seeing how much fit can make up for less talent. Switching out Jimmy for Powell definitely is a downgrade talent wise, but it just seems like a huge upgrade fit wise next to Bam. If Jovic starts or if Ware starts shooting consistently, we're actually close to a 5 out offense. The big skilled forward surrounded by shooters seems to be the type of roster that just works out.

Almost any player is an upgrade over Yimmy if Yimmy is in a contract dispute though. Not expecting big things this season, but hopefully the team can become more cohesive.

On another note GSW better look out. Yimmy can re-up starting next offseason and I doubt he will have much left in the tank to even play half the regular season at a high performance level.

That's why it was best to move on. At least the Warriors have Steph Curry to make up for him. We didn't have that luxury. He can do his super role player thing all season with Steph there actually being a star.

Now we'll see what our guys actually got. The east is weak, we have shooters, the team is pretty young, and there's few progress stopping vets. If this team flames out completely (ie, high lottery) there's no excuse. And then we'll have a high pick in a strong draft to start the rebuild if that happens.
