Rumor is based off of packers reddit a couple of hours ago. Tldr is the guy said his friend’s neighbor is Micah’s PT and he talked about it this week.

The main rumor is from the Rickey guy who has had multiple things before they happened and said we had an offer for Parsons over a week ago. Now he’s saying contract frame work is known, the unknown is if Jerry will actually trade him.

I dont know. Given our cap situation it looks like it'd be less "kicking the can down the road" and more just "Whelp looks like we're getting comp picks for Walker, Doubs and Watson down the road"

Or, does the $45mm become Jerry's new crossbar to leap over to retain Parsons

Having an offer on the table doesn't mean anything. ¯\_(ツ)_/

ETA, I'm confused. An offer on the table to the Cowboys I understand. I'm sure there are a lot of offers on the table. But we can't make an offer to Micah without Jones permission. If he did in fact give permission then a deal really might happen. Or Jones wants to see what the salary market is.

$45 million is crazy.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

It could if Parsons is willing to sit out real games. I read that Jerry said he holds all the cards because he thinks Parsons will play this year then he’ll tag him.

Jerry is a lousy GM. But trading him to an NFC rival, one who comes to Dallas this year, doesn't seem like something Jerry would do.

You're forgetting one thing..... Just think of the ratings for that game.

Remember that and say again there's no chance Jerry would do something like that

Yes, seems like Jerry will sign Micah for top dollar the day before their first game.

Hasn't Jerry let other teams establish the market contract for his own players before? I want to say like for Dak's current contract, or am I off on that idea?

Sure ratings would get a bump. But Jerry doesn't benefit from that other than more bad publicity. They say there's no such thing as bad publicity. But Jerry will get roasted if he trades Micah while paying Dak and CeeDee. Especially to a conference rival. There's no benefit.

He essentially does by not signing his players until the last possible minute. He could have avoided spending tens of millions had he signed Parsons to an extension a year and a half ago. Now everyone knows Parsons is going to be the highest paid defensive player ever. That's the price tag.

It'd be smarter and less expensive if he did extensions when first eligible like the Packers do.

I'll believe Parsons when I see it. I can't imagine Jerry won't end up paying him, as he always ends up doing when running into these contract disputes.

Bukowski says he might need to record another Locked On Packers podcast tomorrow because he's hearing we might be getting Parsons.
