While he's not a bad player and he's a nice guy, he just doesn't seem to be the one to push a team over the top. He hasn't been a winning player and I'm also glad he's not on our team.

I still think Drew Hanlen is the most overrated trainer. RJ's jumper never improved. If I remember right, I looked up his players and I don't really remember any of them improving in shooting %. I could be wrong though and just biased against him cause we would see the same RJ year after year basically.

I think he’s a good trainer in terms of developing players like he did with Tatum, Embiid, Lavine, etc. The biggest difference with those guys and RJ tho is that they always had a decent bag to start with and a much better handle than RJ. So it’s easier for them to develop more moves, counters, etc. RJ never had a bag so he just relys on strength to bully players.
In terms of strictly shooting though, yeah you’re probably right. I don’t think any of Drew’s players really made a leap as a shooter besides maybe Lavine.

RJ looks a little less bulked up in the vid(?) Surely by design if so. His game had more wiggle and less robot as a younger player in HS and Duke when he was less jacked

RJ still younger than Obi so he can develop

Not that I watch a ton of the raptors but RJ’s offense stats have been mostly fine in Toronto but his inability to guard anyone is the bigger issue.

His offense stats are fake too

At home he's averaging 23 PPG on 50/37/68 splits
At away he's averaging 18 PPG on 43/32/58 splits.

Jeremy Lin wasn’t going to go back to the Knicks the moment Mike D’Antoni resigned, couldn’t go left and knew Linsanity secured him the bag from teams with cap space.
I will only cherish the wins and ignore everything else, because that's the only way to survive as a Knicks fan.

His offense stats are fake toohe only plays well offensively at home
At home he's averaging 23 PPG on 50/37/68 splits
At away he's averaging 18 PPG on 43/32/58 splits.
Wild splits. How do you shoot 58% from the free throw line? I feel like he’s gonna have a massive shock at the contract numbers he’s gonna get offered when he’s a free agents.
