Just got back from the game.

I’ve got to say that was one of the most entertaining and most improbable Blue Jay wins I have ever seen live.

If you like lots of home runs, bad fielding with some great plays, lots of long fly balls and mediocre pitching on both sides - then this was your kind of ballgame. I still can’t believe the Jays actually won this one.

Lucky you. That one was a fun one.

While the Jays have certainly been erratic as of late, they still are winning at a 95 win pace this month.

So while August has been far from smooth, they have found ways to win when not playing their best.

This is how a season goes, there are stretches nobody can't beat you, others it's a dog fight no matter who and there are slumps. Then there are teams that have nothing to play for like what we've seen this past 3 series, sometimes these can be just as hard than top competition. They're loose and free of expectations.

This team is just exceeding all my expectations, even after a hard loss like Tuesday, I don't even stay mad because this is surreal, they shouldn't be the best team in the AL but here they are.

It's fun when these guys don't ever quit and keep coming @ you. They are a pain in the ass to play against.

It's the biggest difference between this year and last. Last year, down by 3 in the later innings, and it felt like a mountain that we'd never overcome. Now, we almost always feel like we've still got a chance.

There were thousands of youth baseball players at the game which made the vibe even better. They had a blast! We were on the Jumbotron in the first inning as well.

I've only been to a few games at the Dome, nothing really jumps out except a screaming foul ball that came at me down past third base from a lefty batter, I thought I was getting it and it was going to sting my hands, and at the last second curved and my son caught it two seats over.

But my most vivid memory was from Exhibition Stadium. Jesse Barfield threw out Rickey Henderson of the Yankees going from first to third on a single. Lifted the whole crowd to our feet. Jesse also threw out another Yankee who tagged up from third on a fly ball. So exciting to see throws like that live. A few years later Jesse was a Yankee and I saw him in a mall in Florida in March. Said hi, I'm from Toronto, I saw you throw out Rickey Henderson... he smiled and finished my sentence, "at Exhibition Stadium". He remembered.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

I believe the win over Miami was more improbable. This is up there..both pulled out from the jaws of defeat. Have a good feeling against Milwaukee, to win at least 2..

We haven't had a team that shows any kind of resilience since 2021.

Offense plays a huge role. When you've got a good offense, it gives you a chance. Bichette/Vlad playing like they can is the biggest key. Springer hitting like he knows which pitch is coming. Those 3 have kept the Jays going even though they're not playing really good baseball overall.

If this holds, it'll be the best offensive season of his career.

Absolutely crazy considering his age and how awful he was the past two years. Pretty much everyone on the team has seen an uptick in their offensive production. I'd like to think it's the new hitting coach's doing and not just luck or PEDs.
