I still think Jerry empties his piggy bank for Parsons. He's not waiting til 2026 or 2027 to reap the harvest from Packer picks (and players). As MD noted earlier, Jerry's 83. Plus, he's got some serious health issues. My bet is that he's "win now", even if he's the only one that believes the Cowboys can triumph.

Dak is the highest paid QB, Cedee 3rd highest paid WR and if they pay Micah he'll be the highest or second edge. That's a lot of money tied up to 3 players and they haven't come close to win anything with those 3. I'm sure Dallas wants to sign him but it must be at their price if not they will trade him. I don't think they can afford another player to reset the market in their lineup. I honestly never thought they would sign all 3 but we'll see.

If the trade goes through I'd assume Russ Ball has already run the numbers on the future impacts and given the ok.

A somewhat similar box to what the Bengals have done/are doing?

I really dont understand the handringing over the possibility of paying Parsons given our current cap room and upcomming FAs.

Even at 45 all its really saying is that we aren't resigning Walker (given our recent 1st round pick seemed unlikely anyways), Doubs (given his concussion history i think most assume won't be back) and Rhyan (given our recent 2nd round pick seems unlikely anyways)

I get some trepidation of sending out multiple 1st rounders for the right to swap Parsons for those players since it limits the ability to replace depth but I dont expect any of those guys to be on the roster next year anyways whether Parsons gets traded for or not.

Hell 2 of those players we very recently spent very high draft capital on allready for their replacements ( all 3 if you want to include drafting Golden to replace Doubs)

Several teams have spoken to the Dallas Cowboys about a potential Micah Parsons’ trade and for the first time the Cowboys appear willing to at least listen, sources tell @toddarcher, @DanGrazianoESPN and me.

Yep and he's not just an edge rusher. He is similar to what Ed Reed did for Baltimore secondary. Parsons can play all linebacker positions and both DE positions. The opposing offense never know where he is going to be.

Parsons with Cooper has so many possibilities. But I doubt it happens.

Oh boy. We gotta hope Jerry is spiteful enough to send him to NFL's "Siberia".

I still think Jerry pays him. You know his old ass wants to win one more before he croaks and trading his best player to a team that's owned him for years seems unlikely.

All these people saying that Jerry wants to win now and won't care about draft picks, but we're also talking about a guy who's petty as **** and still delusionally operates like this is the 1990's when it comes to player negotiations. Maybe he really thinks this can be his Herschel Walker trade 2.0?

Again, I'll believe it when I see it. I just can't imagine that Jerry will let Parsons go. Especially not to an NFC rival.

Pretty much. It's tough to win in this league when a big chunk of your cap is tied up to 3 players. Bengals big 3 is better overall than Dallas because of Burrow but man they have holes throughout their lineup. Dallas is kinda limited because of Dak, I think he could be part of a championship team but he needs a lineup like the Eagles last year and that won't happen anytime soon.

Josh Whyle is a fun pickup. I liked him coming out
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

I could see Jerry charging us an extra premium out of spite because of the 2024 playoff game.
