He’s the defensive version of Dak.

This might accidentally work out for the Cowboys in the end.

I see it differently. I think the Packers cut their own throats today. But I also think Jerry could have got a better deal.

They will be in cap hell for at least the next 4 years. When do they have to pay Love?

Love signed last year we are the youngest team we will be alright probably one of the only teams that can pay him and not effect us much

I mean, is this the biggest trade in Packer's history? Those fans must be floored right now

This is the biggest trade and the best pick up since Reggie White signed here. I was floored and happy af this is a young talented team he fits right in those 1st rd picks don’t matter to o me they will be late 1st for a difference maker to our only weakness on D

He’s no Reggie White.

Yeah, the Packers are a draft & develop team. Most of the roster is made up of guys on their rookie contracts. They'll be just fine. Gigantic move for them.

Parsons is a great player.
The reason he disappears at playoff time is that he is undersized and is worn down by season end.
The cowboys will miss him but 47 million is way too much.

I actually kind of agree, 47 million a year for a non-QB? I mean he's great, but jeez.

Didn't Baun grade out better than Parsons last year, and he's signed for what, 17 million a year?

Sometimes investing in low risk high reward players gets you farther, because one non-QB is only going to do so much for you, no matter how good they are.

He's not costing $90 mil against the cap over the next two years, I can guarantee that.

Most likely it's a 6 year deal with 2 void years. Packers are capitalizing on their SB window and if it works, they won't worry about the money much in 4 years.

It's close though. I'm not thrilled, but also not upset.

Micah is now the highest paid non-qb in history, and TBH I'm not sure he is worth that. He is great, top-5. But he is not TJ Watt.

He has a tendency to run himself out of plays. He never focuses on the run and is simply trying to get to the QB (even if it’s a run play).
Sounds like Hendrickson haha

The only way it backfires if he gets a career ending injury it’s no lose situation for us packer fans he just turned 26 yrs old. We are super young and talented nothing is guaranteed but this just makes us way better similar to getting White after we got Favre in a trade it completed our team an injury to our huge nose tackle prevented us from winning back to back super bowls.

I don’t have a problem trading Micah. He’s flawed. I means he’s a great pass rusher but not a great football player if that makes sense. I would have preferred they trade him to a team with a worse outlook. A trade for Hendrickson and 2 FRP’s would have made a lot of sense. But I do agree that trading Micah might be the best thing for the Cowboys long term.

This only works out if they draft impact players with those picks. Otherwise, it's a lose/lose. Micah is still by far their best & most impactful defensive player. Still in his prime. Guys like him aren't easy to find.

You're not factoring in the money. $47M/per is like paying 2 QBs

Burrow and Allen's contracts are $55M/per. I mean Parsons is making very close to that.

It is too much IMO
Nobody tell the Bengals that hahaha

Burrow $55 million AAV
Chase $40.25 million AAV
Hendrickson $31.66 million AAV
Higgins $28.75 million AAV

I don't have the Bengals as a worse outlook over the Packers. I can't at all see the Packers even winning their own division. No way they are better than a healthy Lions team. And I have the Bengals making the playoffs, I don't have the Packers making the playoffs.

Its not like the Packers don't have their issues. They have still question marks in key areas, imho.

They always have a solid offensive lineman. Great RB in Jacobs. Maybe questions at receiver? But I think the one potential weakness was a pass rush & they just addressed it in a big way. They're a scary team in my eyes. I think they can challenge Detroit truthfully.

So the narrative that the cowboys were cheap and the problem here should be dismissed.
Why didn’t the cowboys sign him earlier???
Jerry is losing money for waiting!!!
It was Parsons all along.
I’m sure the cowboys offered a record deal and he refused.
