Other Packer fans on this site have mentioned this, but the national talking heads haven't: Rashan Gary is a major beneficiary of this deal. For the national sports writers, Gary may as well be playing for Pulaski High School. I think that perception will change shortly.

Agreed on Gary but Cooper will have a huge year if he stays healthy.

No excuses for Gary, LVN, or Quay. If they can't succeed in this defense with Micah they will be gone sooner rather than later.

With the recent top 100 list and a fun exercise russillo did on his pod going through the top 5 players at each position, i felt like we really just lacked in the true difference makers department. Obviously we have mckinney, jacobs and guys like love and edge knocking on that door but getting micah for not that much in terms of assets is amazing.

A true dpoy level guy and he’s just as good as other top pass rushers while also being more versatile in terms of where he could line up. Should let hafley have a ton of fun working with him, gary and cooper. The gravity alone will be massive as his on/off numbers in dallas showed.

IMO we never had the front seven play to be true contenders. Parsons changes that dynamic. Not just his addition but he'll make others around him better.

Eh, your guy Bill Simmons had us at 12-5 and making the Super Bowl in his annual NFC over/unders that just posted a few days ago. This team was already very good, Tier 1 type contenders.

If you have a close, male relative in his 80s and you watched Ol' Jerry ramble, babble on at that press conference last night (talking about the Herschel Walker trade, how Kenny Clark was going to turn around the run defense, how he could turn around and trade the Pack's two 1st round picks for players this season), you know what is up.

Al Davis was responsible for two decades of great Raider football and three Super Bowl wins before he declined cognitively (and physically).

Jerry rode Jimmy Johnson's brilliance to three Super Bowl wins 30+ years ago and has always been a huckster. The only problem now, for Jerry, is that he has become the primary subject of scorn, bitterness, and pity. Some folks are able to age with dignity, but 82 year old Jerry is doing the exact opposite.

After yesterday's trade, Gutey better not step foot in Texas as he might face charges for elder abuse.

Thoughts on running out a front 4 of Gary/Parsons on the Edge and Wyatt/LVN on the inside not the typical big boys in the middle with LVN i think in the 270s and Wyatt just touching 300....would definitely provide a more speed rush up the middle

Karl Brooks needs to be in there on passing downs. I'm all for letting LVN get as many reps inside in an attempt to salvage the pick, but he's officially an afterthought for me now. If he finally breaks out then great. If not, then he shouldn't be getting snaps over Brooks, Wyatt, and Enagbare.

On passing down? For sure. Some people here think that LVN should move inside permanently, he's not a DT.
