Not out of the question that Made starts next season in AA. :o

I've been assuming that all of Made, Pena, & Fischer start next year at AA. Seems that Chourio is a blueprint for how they are treating Made & Pena and he started the following season at AA

If their development continues is 2028 a target date or 2027?
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

If they follow the Chourio timeline it would be 2027

Yelich is off the books after 2028. It will be interesting if we try to do a Chourio 10 year deal with either/both of them.

I may have missed my window to see Made in Appleton. I don’t think he is going to be there next year the way he is tearing up High-A ball in his like 1 month there.

Awesome. They're incredible. I can't count the number of times this summer I've looked at the alt-jerseys and wished I had some merch. I still wear my Rocky Mountain Vibes alt tees to work.

Prospects who dominated August.

Jaron DeBerry, RHP, Brewers
Promoted to Double-A Wisconsin to begin August, DeBerry has kicked his breakout season into hyperspeed this month. One of the more underrated pitching prospects in baseball, DeBerry has a variety of good traits that could portend future success—something that was very much on display in his first month with Biloxi.

A 2024 third-round pick out of Dallas Baptist, he was viewed as an extreme money-saver at the time, signing for just $25,000. Since then, DeBerry has proven this to be one of the best draft values in recent memory, especially as he looks likely to be headed to the major leagues by the end of 2026.

In August, DeBerry made four starts, allowing five earned runs while striking out 26 batters to five walks across 24 innings. He went five or more innings in all four appearances and went six or more in three of them. His most impressive outing came on Aug. 23 when he threw seven scoreless against Double-A Chattanooga with nine strikeouts, no walks and four hits. DeBerry doesn’t generate a high number of whiffs, but he does consistently set hitters up by moving the ball around the zone with six different shapes, leading to lots of looking strikes.

DeBerry’s arsenal, while lacking power, has a variety of interesting shapes. He generates high spin rates on a trio of breaking balls. His primary pitch is a high-80s cutter that might be more of a cut-fastball than cutter. The pitch sits at 88 mph with spin rates in the 2700-2800 rpm range.

He’ll mix in a low-launch, four-seam fastball that plays above its low-90s velocity and could be an above-average or better pitch if he adds a few ticks of velocity in the future. DeBerry additionally mixes a slider, curveball, sinker and changeup, giving him a deep bag of tricks to keep hitters guessing.

Batting .299 with an .895 in August entering tonight. He's on a serious one.

Jim Callis. Nothing we didn't already know, but sharing it anyway.

The Brewers have an abundance of riches at shortstop, with Made (No. 5), Peña (No. 16) and Pratt (No. 51) all ranking on MLB Pipeline's Top 100 Prospects list. Made has the highest ceiling among that trio because he has the tools to have the greatest impact at the plate.

Made's swing decisions, consistency of contact and exit velocities are outstanding for an 18-year-old and they've translated into a .285/.383/.418 line with 39 extra-base hits and 45 steals in 108 games between two Class A stops. The power is going to come and he has 30-30 upside. He owns the highest floor, too, because it's hard to imagine that at worst he won't hit for a decent average with 20 homers per season.

Pratt is the best defender of the group and one of the best shortstops in the Minors, so he'll lock down that position provided he hits enough -- and he should. In that case, Made winds up at third base, where he could develop into a José Ramírez type of player. Peña has the second-best bat and glove among the shortstops, and he could wind up at second base, third base (if Made fits elsewhere) or center field.

Milwaukee already has Brice Turang at second base and Jackson Chourio in center field, so that complicates matters. It's a nice problem to have.
