IMHO we only have about 7 players that are really talented that I like. So this team is lacking talent and depth. A couple key injuries to Dak or an o-lineman, and this team will struggle to win 4 games. I don't like the defense at all even with Parsons and Overshown who will miss the first 6 weeks or so. The defense is garbage with no depth, they can't stop a nose bleed and on offense they can't run the ball.
At this point, I guess I trade Parsons and get what I can for him. He's a lot like Jerry only interested in the brand instead of winning. I want winners and legends. To me Parsons doesn't come across as a serious winner or leader that I would want to follow.

He literally just removed all the branding from his social media and posted "I will WIN where ever I go".

But fair enough, you'd trade him. And the only thing I will say to that is, if Stephen and Jerry DO trade him, I hope I see you being real about it and giving them props on doing what you would have done.

Really. You can't be serious. You really think I would follow that road to the Jerry and Stephen cult? Just because once in a while they luckily get something right, doesn't excuse the 1,000 other screw ups over the years that set us back multiple years and continue to do. Like I tried to explain in my long response to mariner the other day, the original, old school Cowboy fans would not have put up with Jerry and given him a 30 year pass as GM. We would have forced him out a long time ago. I guess things are different now.

No you should give them props on the trade, if it happens. Instead of whining and complaining about the trade. Because they did what you would do.

It really is very difficult for you to focus on the topic at hand without going into a "30-year" tirade

Does Micah know that Allen iverson never won a championship?

Yeah and Iverson's best years were with the original team that drafted him.

Not the best quote to reference.

No, because the timing really doesn't matter now. Keeping Dak and making him the highest paid QB is what set us back 5 years. If we got rid of Dak 2 years ago then today I'm all for keeping Micah and building around him. Now we are trapped and it will be at least 2 years to see if we have a light left at the end of the tunnel. Like I said earlier, Cowboys would be much better off today had Jerry played harder ball with Dak 2 years ago and forced him to get rid of his no trade clause in his contract. By the time I was done with Dak he would have been more than willing to get rid of his no trade clause and I would of sent his butt out of here and got a little something for him. A lot of ways to go when your not dishing out 60 mill a year on a losing QB that you absolutely know you can't win with.

I guess the alternative then being to trade Dak and rebuild through the draft? Or go through another re-tread QB?

Dak is someone that will get you to the playoffs for the most part. He just can’t get it done once he gets there.

Yes. I knew 5 years ago he wasn't the guy and I have wanted him out of here and gone since then. Dumb Dak is the perfect example of a pussy azzed loser. Jerry is just plain nuts now. He just set the Cowboy franchise back another 5 years by signing Dak. I used to feel bad for younger Cowboy for many years, but not anymore. They are so blind when it comes to following their fearless cult leader and owner. Its a shame to be honest.

This schtick is so old.

It's just a game. There are die hard Lions and Browns fans out there that have a blast rooting for their teams. There is no need to feel sorry for any fan, allow people to root for who they want to root for.

Except for bandwagon fans. Those fans need to be called out

Yes. The plan is to not have transformative players on the Cowboys.

Who is going to touch that contract? Maybe Vegas would have before Geno Smith but outside maybe The Jets or Colts I don't see a lot of teams wanting to pay Dak that much if their salary. Saints make zero sense talent wise as they are awful and I take one of the top prospects plus a ton in cap space to address other needs especially Arch over Dak and just being good enough fora potential 500 record and ass kicking in the playoffs.

I guess Cleveland for Watson just for the lols

What do you think Cowboys should do going forward to fix their team?

Make Dak the highest paid QB, fire McCarthy, then trade Parsons. And keep the GM of course. Nobody can do the job Jerry does.  :guitar: :rocking:

Wow. This is totally unusual this year. Even during the slow weeks, when the Cowgirls and Egals were playing that week there was all kinds of trolling, smack talk, drama, hoopla, etc., This is lame. What the hell is wrong with all of you? Jesus, the pre Jerry Jones era Cowboys never laid down to the Egals. Look what Jerry has made you all. Your acting like the Egals are going to romp us 41-10 or something. :wavefinger:

It probably won’t be that bad. But when the eagles take their starters out and the cowboys still have their starters in, it should be a more competitive game.

All I'm hoping for is that Jerry and Stephen are miserable after that game. That's all I want.

You know, slightly off topic but I heard Micah parsons might have some injury concerns that the packers missed in their medical review before finalizing the trade. I read somewhere that Micah needs an epidural before every game or something? lol they might have actually sold at the right time.. crazy to even think about. But only time will tell and usually 99/100 times you trade a star you get the worst part of the trade in return.
