I understand that, but we aren't arguing guys would be huge minute getters, definitely not everyone in the NBA plays good defenders, even the role players can be very bad defenders, especially the shooters. If you shoot 3s and play D, you will get at least 20 mil now.

The issue with guys his age is that he's the kind of guy that would only be useful on a playoff, however, he lacks the NBA experience to actually be impactful. Pablo Prigioni was even older as a rookie, but he earned his minutes with that tenacious full court defense that he actually never showed when he had huge offensive roles in Europe and with Argentina.

Regarding Obst's defense, NBA playoff teams put a premium on switching on defense. I just don't see how Obst would keep up, unless he's shooting close to 50% from deep. In the last 3 seasons in the German playoffs his shooting has been in the mid to high 30s.

Yeah, Yabisele lost his cool and got T'ed up, gifted Slovenia 3 points at the end.
