I think Edge was going to make a huge jump already this year.....now as long as these two stay healthy this is going to be unreal for the next few years at least.

Cooper and Micah on the same team will be must see TV. Not only QBs will be running for their lives, the sideline to sideline speed these two have is just ridiculous. Add Quay to the mix and nobody is getting to the edge for long gains this year.

Wouldn't be surprised if some hit pieces come out.

Parson's sounds pretty intense. He might well have also felt like he was carrying the heaviest load on that defense too. He mighty be a little chippy about that.

The best aspect of the deal, hands-down, isn't even getting the generational-talent Parsons or even getting the better deal, it's taking the Cowboys to the cleaners and crushing every raging Dallas-attached narcissist's diseased & deluded worldview. Skip Bayless only being one of many. Referring to the upthread Dallas fans' inside-info that "players are treated as Gods" in a country club atmosphere. Jerry Jones is prime driver of rhat culture and I'd pay to have Gutekunst exploit that at every opportunity.

We don't know if the secondary is mediocre or not. They haven't played a down. We do know the safety group is stellar. Even their 6th safety outperformed with multiple interceptions and couldn't make the cut. That's half the secondary. Cornerbacks are proven 3 deep so its only CBs 4, 5, 6 who are at issue and we're gonna wait to see em play before deciding whether they're any good. We all saw them play.

I know I shouldn’t care but I really hated the 22 on a WR. Looked terrible I’m glad he switched.

Bold choice for Golden to go without a number on his jersey
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

You shouldn't be. You weren't surprised they went out and got the best guy out there. You expected it. Packers aren't 'letting' Micah Parsons wear #1, they're *asking* him to. What, now that he's under 'your' control you wanna be denying him a modest signal of respect has to be pettiest reaction from a fanbase hellbent on acquiring Parsons like he's the Second Coming. What're you, Jerry Jones.

The Packers haven't given out #1 in 99 years. I thought no one would ever wear it again tbh

Curly can’t carry Micah’s jock strap.

Golden 1 on the back of his jersey would’ve been dope. Missed a golden opportunity there..

Marketing will be fine when he corrals a bunch of passes.

If they bought his #22 jersey it was a knockoff from China. Packers didn't sell #22. I'm guessing they knew there was a good chance he'd switch.

On a roster balance note, what do you guys think the Packers do with all their edge rushers now? Do they just redshirt Sorrell & Oliver? Are Cox & Enagbare just relegated to barely anything? Try to swing a trade to recuperate a late pick?

I think Enagbare has to be trade bait.

Insurance, also, we don't know if LVN will be any usuful and Gary never could play more than 60% of the snaps.

Moved from the prediction thread

GiannisAnte34 wrote:I think the team should’ve been more longterm in a rough division with Jacobs close to aging out and I think Love is just a good game manager, they’re also one of the youngest teams in the league so I’d lean more into taking shots in the draft rather than giving up 1sts for an all-in move like Parsons. Just my opinion

Secondary (specifically corner) is the only legitimate weakness I can find worth complaining about. A couple converted slot corners and a converted WR does feel like a pretty risky gamble with a lot riding on the shoulders of someone like Valentine to turn into more than just a guy. Everything else (Love not being elite enough, health/injuries) is of the elbows-too-pointy variety that pretty much every fanbase can complain about in any given season. You can never have too many pass rushers and I don't really care if that means guys like Enagbare and Brenton Cox get squeezed out of the rotation.
