How do let's say Olympiacos and Greece NT compare ? NT has Giannis, but also Tyler Dorsey starting who's a low IQ player that is only streaky shooter and a deep reserve on Oly.

OLympiacos is of course way deeper, Larentzakis is absolute bench warmer in OLY, but on Greek NT he plays. Olympiacos not only has 10+ Euroleague players, they all very good Euroleague players. Like their lowest paid guy is the guy who was best player in Žalgiris few years back, Olympiacos is probably the deepest team in Europe.
Of course Greece has huge ace in the hole in Giannis, but I do not trust Giannis as much under European rules, it it was NBA, I would say Greece should beat OLY, but in Euroleague I would pick Olympiacos.

I really like this A' team, and I think I owe a lot to Fred Fauthoux. We're getting and identity!
That team is mid at best France literally got carried by the refs in the whole tournament during the Olympics and got outplayed by Japan, they have a bunch of basic players who are somewhat athletic I've never been impressed by the current talent out of France other than Wemby.
That team oozes with potential, lmao. By the time the next Olympics roll out, Wemby could very well be the best player in the world. Then as France, you're hoping that atleast one of Risacher, Coulibaly, Traore, Sarr, Saluan, Essengue etc. will be a legit second option, and that some of the other guys can be solid rotation players. By that dancing bear should still be solid vets to add some veteran experience to the team. Risacher is looking better to me every time I see him on the court.
France had very little quality guards in Olympics, especially offensively. Colleit for some reason cut Okobo and did not even invite Francisco to camp. France still does not have world class guard, but I mean Francisco and Maledon are more than capable at European level, and maybe Traore will be good in few years?

Is Bogdan out confirmed ? I see some places have adjusted odds, but at the site I put bets Serbia still slight favourite against the field at 1.95. If BB is out and with Germany crushing opponents winner odds between these teams should be closer certainly.

Because of one player?
I think the opposite...

Estonia's victory over Czechia doesn't surprise me at all. In fact, I expected it which is why I bet on it (along with Sweden and Finland). The Nordics helped me out last night. And, before anyone asks, yes, Estonia can into the Nordics

Serbian news outlets say he's done. He was a hamstring strain which usually takes anywhere between 2 and 12 weeks to heal. I remember Devin Booker recovery from one in a matter of days. But that was because he was is his early 20s.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Major blow being Bogdan is one of those FIBA stars and can decide a game on his own. Still Serbia is the team to beat though.

Bogdan out levels the playing field, I'd even favour Germany now.

Re: OT : Eurobasket 2025
So, since groups A and B have already played 3 games, we already have 4 teams that have qualified. Turkiye, Serbia, Germany and Finland are already in. That doesn't necessarily mean that these two teams will also get the top two spots of their groups, though. Well, the first 3 probably will but Finland has yet to face Germany and Lithuania, the other contenders for a top two spot. Finland needs to beat Lithuania on Monday to lock up that top two spot.
But even if Finland beats Lithuania, they only get the 2nd seed if they lose to Germany which isn't ideal since they will have to face the team that finished 3rd in group A which will probably be Latvia, the hosts. So, the round of 16 will probably be tough for Finland, no matter where they end up. Unless, of course, they beat both Lithuania and Germany. If they do that then they face Estonia (or Portugal but my gut says Estonia) which would be a much better draw for them. So, we'll see.
I'm glad to see Estonia doing well. They play Portugal on the last day in the match that will probably decide who gets the 4th spot and advances to the round of 16. Whoever advances, it's going to be an important achievement for their countries. Estonia has only advanced to the knockout stage once in their history, back in 1993. Portugal has never advanced to the knockout stage (they would have in 2007 if the format was the same as today but it wasn't, there was a second round and you then advanced straight to the quarters). So, it's going to be big for both nations and it has the potential to help basketball grow in these countries.
In the other group, the matchup between Montenegro and Sweden on Monday is also going to be important. If Sweden wins, they advance. If Montenegro wins then they advance, unless they **** up against Great Britain on the last day. Sweden has never advanced to the knockout stage in their history so them advancing will also be a big achievement for them, if it happens.
Both Estonia and Sweden gain a boost by the fact that their groups are hosted in neighboring countries. I was watching the highlights of yesterday's Czechia-Estonia game and the arena was rocking with Eesti chants.
As for the other two groups, they play their 3rd game today and it's gonna tell us a lot.
Georgia's win over Spain upended group C and we now have 4 teams tied at 1-1 each (Georgia, Spain, Italy, Bosnia). Greece is at 2-0 with an important win over Italy and if they beat Georgia later today (game starts in less than 3 hours) then they lock up a spot in the round of 16. That doesn't mean that they lock up the 1st spot, of course, since Spain can still win out but, still, they'd be in a pretty solid spot.
As for the other 4 teams, who knows what happens. Georgia has beaten Spain but lost to Italy. Bosnia has lost to Spain but what happens if they beat Italy today? Italy and Spain face each other on Tuesday. That's probably going to be the most important match for both teams. The winner is probably advancing but what happens to the loser? They may advance as well but there's probably going to be some weird tiebreakers involved. My gut says that Greece, Italy, Georgia and Spain advance out of this group but Bosnia also poses a threat here. We may see a surprise here but let's see what happens today. The picture will be a bit clearer after today's games.
As for group D, yes, Slovenia is currently 0-2 but that doesn't mean they're out. They're down but not out. Poland and France are clearly the two strongest teams of the group and they will take the two top spots but Slovenia can still advance. They cannot afford any mistakes, though. They absolutely have to beat Belgium later today. The last two spots in that group are there for the taking but Slovenia has to start winning.
Belgium and Israel also have good chances at advancing. The only one out of the running is Iceland since they have already lost to Belgium and Israel. Iceland was competitive against both Israel and Belgium and they had a great chance to beat Belgium but that bad 4th quarter really doomed their chances.
No it can't. Central Asia? Sure, Nordics? Nope.

Sure but they are observers just like the Sami who are most definitely Nordic (and some of them Scandinavian as well).

I mean observers. Like Schleswig-Holstein are observers, like Hungary is observer in OTC.

Yeah, pretty much. Hungary is indeed an observer in OTS. Estonia and Finland aren't. The three countries may share a linguistic background as all three are Uralic-speaking but that doesn't mean that they are similar culturally or in their diplomatic orientation.
