Montenegro won.

So far, 3 most impressive teams to me are Germany, Greece and Turkey.

I know it is GB, but this German team is insane. Feels like they will be world and European champions in 10 days.

I'm enjoying reading about the different cultures and history lessons. Thanks.
When does the group of 16 end?
Who are the remaining teams with the best chance to get in? Serbia, Turkey, Finland, Germany, Greece, Poland are in.

16 team knowout stage starts on Saturday, 6th. I think thats what you mean, but if you want to know when it ends, final will be played on Sunday, 14 th. so two weeks from now.

Latvia will play Portugal and Czechs, so we assume Latvia will for sure be in. Lithuania will get it, todays game between FInland will probably decide second place in their group. Spain and Italy should be in for sure, Israel and France are close to clinching. Slovenia should get in, but it is not guarantee yet.

Thanks for the other info.

Can we get Lauri to Memphis so he can play under Iisalo full-time? I'm sure Ja Morant would love Utah!! Haha.

Wasn't able to watch until now. Am I reading the score right? GB has 33 points with a bit over 5 minutes to go in the third quarter?

Yeah, and it was 23-19 at one point and then it was over.

Eastern European are hella strong also, Soviet guys were legends in this field.

Yeah, I do think it is coincidence that our two main sports are Basketball and strongmen competition, we do not have african hops and speed, but there are big boys here. Thats why it is frustrating how bad we are at football, because if you go for a walk, every other other young guy is built like Virgil van Dijk or smth, but nothing comes of it. Football is almost non existent sport here, which is crazy to say for European nation. Well, non existent it is not true, Baseball or Cricket is non existent, I do not think it ever made sports news even, Football is talked all the time, but what I mean, beside FIFA tournaments, free chanels do not even broadcast it I believe. I can watch a lot of Football, but it is behind paid platform on the internet...

Eddie Hall is famous, because he is also a Youtuber I believer, or a content creator of some kind.

I know strongmen competitions are popular in some countries including Poland, yet I'm not sure there are popular heavy weight lifters(Olympic champions) from these countries. In Bulgaria we had pretty good heavyweight lifters, Nasar atm, yet strongmen competitions were never popular. A bit weird both directions.

It's the same in Greece. A lot of gold medals in heavy lifting but strongmen competitions are a virtual unknown.

Similarly to 2023 against Latvia, all it takes is one bad shooting night to put them on the brink of elimination. Team has looked great so far. This might actually be some kind of points record.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

This is embarrassing to FIBA, 1/3 of the teams shouldn't be in Eurobasket.

IMO, that's what I love about single elimination games. I love the unpredictability of it all.
