Looks like Queta didn't have a strong game but that's ok. He is getting good experience facing someone like the Joker.

LOL, I don't think anyone expected Portugal to defeat Serbia. The Portuguese did well to keep the margin under 15.

I think Queta let Jokic shine in that game and is saving the A game for when it matters on June.

Joker lives for this. He's in his prime and IMO the best player in the world right now. I don't think Serbia has ever won a euro, so this is huge for Joker.

For every Joker this season, there's gonna be a dozen or so centers that Neems can manage against. 10 and 10 or better yet 12 and 12 and it's a home run of a year for Neems.

Neems will be fine.

If he can’t outplay the best Center in the world how will he hold up against the best centers in the NBA.

Just saw this belatedly, but it had a pretty funny headline.

Neemie was -10 in an 11 point loss, playing a little over half the game.

So it truly wasn't a successful outing for him.

Way better. Sengun is a helluva player. Turkey has 7 current or former NBA players. Portugal was no match, then their second best player got into foul trouble, and their three point guy couldn't make them.

One good thing for Queta is him beginning to shoot further away the basket a few times a game, and showing some touch.

7 boards is an improvement at least. Queta played 20 mins yesterday and was sitting on 0 boards into the 4th, ended up with only 2 rebounds

Turkey is better than the Lakers I think with 7 currant former NBA quality players. Lakers have 6.

Sengun has started 224 games and averaged 28mpg the past 4 seasons. That goes a long way for these types of tournaments.

At least Neems won't be a "hack a Neems" candidate at the end of games. :D

Turkey has 3-4 guys on that team that the Celtics could use, starting with Seguin and Larkin. Portugal has Queta and mostly club players and third tier European professionals. So it's not surprising to see Portugal come back down to earth.

Another good game by Queta. 16 points and 7 rebounds in only 19 minutes.
