A player in the NBA has a bigger impact on their team than any non-QB in the NFL. In addition, Luka probably has more good years left than Micah due to longer career lengths in the NBA. Cowboys also got back fairer value than the Mavs did.

Well that and in the NFL we can never have lottery balls save your ass, if the Cowboys are the 3rd worst team in the NFL they get the 3rd pick period. There is no 20% chance you end up with the 1st pick or some ****, despite not being the worst team.
So unless the Cowboys become one of the worst teams in the NFL they will not be bailed out by a top pick in the right draft.
