Comes in for a couple innings and blows guys away. You know pretty quickly whether he's going to have it for the appearance and if he doesn't you yank him after the third batter.
Better for him to do that as a starter. Maybe he gives you three innings, maybe he gives you five. But it's more than he'd give you as a reliever and you aren't risking him coming in and blowing a lead at the end of the game.
Ok 6 starters and he's the opener for a few innings with a piggyback after. EIther way, I see no way he's even a consistent 5 inning starter.
