Imho it's not a big deal in the RS, Mavs won't have an amazing offense but still enough to make them competitive.
But defense was the argument of the discussionOfc defense is a bit related with offense cause bad shots and TO's won't allow team to properly set up on defense exposing them in transition. Off rebounds could be a huge factor in that regard, this team has the personnel to be an elite rebounding team on both ends of the floor.
AD+Cooper+DLo should be enough to partially offset Luka/Kyrie production, also AD/DLo were particulary productive together last season, at least that's what stats suggest. AD+DLo on: 506' sample size, 117.6 o-rat, 112.9 d-rat, 33% opp 3pt fg%; AD+DLo on/LBJ off: 250' sample size, 121.4 o-rat, 109.9 d-rat, 29.3% opp 3 pt fg%.
I think they'll run plays to keep the ball moving, allowing for quick plays that feed AD with easy baskets around the rim.
Imho they'll have to play with pace, utilize ball/players movement, push the ball in transition, and Flagg should be a big help in that regard.
My main concern is about late game situations, I mean I don't want to live or die by AD middy in the clutch.
You should make some easy money by betting over 40.5.

That's exactly what I'd do if I had any interest in betting but ehi Bob, I see you're back at the odds argument once again lol I guess you ran out of ammunition

Man, it's futile to talk about anything, if you really see things that optimistic. Mavs much better defensively and solid offensively means 50+ wins easily.
If we make things simple, Luka+Kyrie >>> AD+ rookie Flagg. That's why we're talking about 40 wins team and not 50 wins team. That's what we see now, if DLo plays like Kyrie, Klay finds his old shooting form, AD/Exum/Lively survive without injuries and Flagg has the best rookie season ever, then Mavs can be champions. Is this possible? Sure, but odds are against that scenario. And we're talking about odds not certainty.
40.5 over/under doesn't mean that will happen, that's a number where optimists and pessimists betters meet. I can see both possibilities with pretty similar odds. So I'm not betting on that. You on the other hand believe that 40.5 is far too low, so you should bet. Because you know more than others and odds are strong in your favour.

Ridiculous, lets see if there is any real punishment. The Jalen Brunson tampering shows how unserious the NBA is
But if it could help the Lakers, I wouldnt be surprised if Kawhi's Clippers contract is voided and he joins Lebron and that other guy

This is really really interesting, I wonder what will happen.
On one hand, this is the most blatant disregard for the cap since Joe Smith and clear violation of the CBA, and sets a very dangerous precedent, on the other hand, this is the richest and most powerful owner, I wonder if Silver has the backbone to mess with him...

They gifted Doncic to Fakers 8 months ago, now this. What a joke.
Don't pay for this rigged sh*t. It's awful.

84-77 Slovenia but very bad second half by Doncic and Slovenian guys.
Italy was awesome in the 4th... But we lack talent in the back court.

Italy started trapping and doubling in the 4th Q and rest of our team folded. GG though

Re: Around the league -- Offseason edition
I had to leave after 3 quarters, it was 16 points game, Italy looked done, Insee they made it 3 point game near the end.
Gallo looked unplayable in the few seconds he played in the 1st Q, I see he had a great 4th quarter.

Re: Around the league -- Offseason edition
Germany is simply too good. Doncic 39-10-7 but 5/16 on 3s.
Finlandia won in the afternoon.
So Germany-Finlandia and Greece-Turkey.
Great match up.

Props to Luka for an amazing run even with the loss. He balled out on both ends (yeah you read that right). Barring he stays healthy and in shape, he's poised to have a great season, possibly an MVP type season.

Re: Around the league -- Offseason edition
As much as I'll always miss Luka the player, seeing him cry for a full 40 minutes and then make all sorts of embarrassing post-game crybaby comments... I'm definitely glad the crybaby diva Luka is gone and someone else's problem now.

With that being said he is still a great guy - even went to shake hands with the entire German bench after the game
