Congrats to Minnesota.
I know that's probably good for your mental health. Believing at this point would just be asking for torture.
But the Liberty came roaring back from the gates of hell last night. Against a really good team with a great home crowd with no Sab.
If they can get 2 moderately healthy games in before the Playoffs start to almost get on the same page, I still think they are a big threat to the Lynx.
For the last decade plus, having Stewie means you got a good shot at a ring.
There are so many great stories this year with the Dream, Mercury, and Valkyries. But I don't trust any of them as much as the Liberty or Aces catching a lick.

Re: 2025 WNBA Regular Season Discussion Thread
Right or wrong, I think that might have decided the MVP race.
A'ja launching a Phee shot into the upper deck also adds quite a highlight (though Phee sent A'ja through the roof on a pump fake a couple plays later).
If A'ja does it, she'd be the 1st 4-time MVP. (Leslie, Swoopes, and Lauren Jackson with 3)
If not for the one idiot that inexplicably voted her 4th in 2023, it would have had the chance to be 5 MVP's.

The Sun are so fun.
Saniya now up to 35% from 3. If she keeps developing that, her ceiling is just insane.

We'll see what happens, but do keep in mind that for the season that the two teams played 4 times and A'ja only had one good game out of the 3 she played, and that one good game came after the Lynx had a huge standings lead.

Including, playing in the 53 and 31 point losses.

Don't disagree.
If it's not understood, I'd hate to see either player not get the MVP. An absolutely impossible choice.
But if I'm voting, I give it to A'ja.
Her team sucked early. It was brutal.
But they turned it all around in an insane way with A'ja, of course, leading the way.
Aces basically finishing the season the same way the Lynx started it. When it's this close, I'll lean on the finish.
Of note, I don't actually believe in the Aces, and the Lynx would curbstomp them in a series. But I can't overlook what the Aces are doing, even if I don't believe in it.

Re: 2025 WNBA Regular Season Discussion Thread
For this Playoff race, it's all down to Storm and Sparks.
Unlikely the Sparks get it, but it would be a disaster for the Storm.
If the Storm beat the Valkyries, they are in.
But beating the Valkyries isn't a guarantee for anybody, especially the Storm.
So, if the Storm lose to the Valkyries, the Sparks are in if they can beat the Mercury and Aces (looking for 15-0).
Storm are almost surely going to back into the Playoffs. But it would be wild if the Sparks pulled this off.

And I love the Storm, but I hope the Sparks make it.
Don't know what's wrong with the Storm, but I don't think they can fix it.
Sparks with Mama D, Plum, Rickea, Azura, Brink, Rae, and Allemond could make the Lynx at least sweat a little.

If all things were equal, I'd totally agree.
But the only thing the Lynx are playing for is avoiding injuries and trying not to totally lose their edge heading into the Playoffs.
Aces have been in a fight the whole way.

As I said just splitting hairs on 2 players that both deserve it.

Angel was 100% right. The Sky's management's response to her calling them out says everything to me.
If she didn't care, she would have stayed silent and waited for the first chance to ask for a trade.
Angel isn't the first star these idiots have pissed off.

Unrivaled just hit $340m valuation. There is absolutely a lock out coming.

Sloot's gonna lead them back to the playoffs once she recovers from her ACL injury
