Powell is likely to stay in DAL unless a bigger trade happened, and need his expiring contract for salary matching. His on court value is close to nil.

Steal at this price, he will be underutilized if everyone is healthy, but he's a 30/yr player at least.

Not a steal honestly, it's his price... If he will not play at the 3.

My favorite Maverick, hence my favorite player in the league until we see what Coop really is. I like this one and one of the few smart moves Nico Nitwit has done.
Now, if they can trade Gaff for a starting-quality SG and Klay, Caleb, or Naji for a guy who can play spot-up minutes at the 5 when Lively and AD will inevitably miss time, this team could be on to something.

Grimes is still available on the open market.

Grimes wanted out and on his way trashed Nico in the process, you really think he would come back?

Beggars can’t be choosers. It’s not like teams are climbing over themselves to sign him. If his only option were the Mavs are you saying he wouldn’t take the money?

Well problem is, Mavs don't have anything to offer except vet min. He's not taking that. Plus, they would need to move/waive pieces again to create a spot for him.

We don't have neither money and space for him, but i'm sure that he would love to play again for this lovely organization...

Very happy about bringing PJ back. 15 and 8, shoots 38% from 3, can defend 1 through 5 at a high level and legit tough. These kind of guys get paid so 22 mil/year is pretty darn good.

Yeah but be careful. His offense heavily relied on playmaking from Luka and getting to those open spots. Before Mavs he had -11.8 OnNET, with Mavs that went to +8.2. After the trade it went down again to only +1.4 and his % of assisted FGA dropped from a whooping 98% on long range to 90%, and % of assisted FGA on 2pts dropped from 82% down to 52%.
All in all, yes he's shown he can shoot even without relying on playmakers but it's more or less his hustle, toughness and defense that we should look forward to. The Draymond Green role minus elite playmaking but better offense.
If Mavs are serious about contending, he should start ahead of Flagg but since AD is a bum and wants to play PF, it's probably going to be Lively, AD, Flagg... which makes no sense to me but i guess we'll see how that goes.

Yeah I don't disagree. I like PJ as a finisher. I do not like him as a creator which Kidd tried to do with him a lot.
Spacing is going to be an issue, particularly with us playing double big lineups like expected. My hope is that another year with PJs new shooting form helps with consistency from 3. If not, it's going to be a struggle.

I still think we will see Lively taking a couple 3’s this year.

Don't know, probably not. But out of Lively, AD, Flagg and PJ... It's a very high chance PJ will be the best long range shooter and he may not even start. So spacing will be incredibly rough and Klay will probably have to force his shots even more than he had last season.

Im not expecting Lively to all of a sudden be Dirk out there shooting 3’s but they’re have talked about him adding this to his game. I think we will actually see him take a couple 3’s this year.

It all goes back to AD being a soft me first guy. If he'd be willing to play 5, the frontcourt of Flagg-PJ-AD would eb awesome. Have Lively be the backup big, and trade Gaff for a decent enough guard

[Charania] Free agent forward Olivier-Maxence Prosper has agreed on a two-way NBA contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, Todd Ramasar and Mike Simonetta of Life Sports Agency told ESPN. Prosper sifted through multiple offers, and now chooses the Grizzlies to enter his third NBA season.
Good job Harrison.
Let other teams know how you are desperated about trade O-Max and forced the Mavs to waive and stretch.
We are the joke of the league, probably someone will try to steal Flagg in some way with Harrison in the organization.
Fire that moron ASAP.
