Yea IMO the Cowboys did the right thing here. Giving out record money to a non-QB usually isn't a great decision. Conversely, even less of a wise decision when double-dipping by paying out record money AND 1st round picks for a non-QB. I kind of understand it from the Packers perspective though... they're a good playoff team now, so it makes some sense to take a big shot. While for a team like my bears, it would have made much less sense being that we don't know what they are yet. They made the Mack trade pre-maturely while not even being a proven good team, and it bit them in the ass.

Yeah I don't blame the Packers. They are going All-In here. Have mortgaged their future for a legit shot. If they don't hit? It's a hard road, if they do hit? It was all worth it. And IMO you have to be willing to take risks like that in this league.

I do wonder though, how the loss of Kenny Clark will effect their defense. I have a feeling that they may be taking him for granted. It all starts in the trenches.

Jerry has been a complete failure and proven to all of us that he doesn't have the football mind to put together a championship team. Can't even come close TBH. The whole front office is nothing but family and friends instead of football minds. This formula has been a complete failure for 3 decades now, yet I am the one that is deranged. Got it.

How does Dallas not get Gary or McKinney? I mean that's a deal you could sell 2 1st round picks, Gary or McKinney plus Kenny Clark. If Dallas gets hammered by Philly and then goes 0-4 at what point do you shut it down and try to move Dak and go scorched earth for a rebuild?

I told everyone 2 years ago not to resign Dak. That was the time to go scorched Earth. Cowboys would have got a boat lead of picks for Dak and Lamb.

What really hurt the compensation is that when teams found out his contract demands. He got 17 percent increase over the next highest at the position.
Paying that plus the compensation was a big ask.
