He begged Trajan not to trade him at the deadline and said this was the most fun basketball situation he has ever been a part of….we were also 24 hours away from giving him a major bag, and he can't blame us for having to go to plan B given the weirdness.
Holding my breath that he makes the right decision this time.
You know what I find hilarious about this Beasley situation? I have a seen a bunch of articles, especially around the Knicks, wondering if he'll take less, to "play for a contender." Is this the same Knicks team(with a worse, treadmill coach now)that the Pistons, with zero playoff experience should have beaten last year if not for injuries and a horrible non-call? If the Knicks are considered a contender, then so should the Pistons, flat out, period.
If Beasley does indeed resign with Detroit, the only loss of any significance is going to be Schroder, but with Ivey coming back, that's not a problem, and Robinson is a better player than THJ, not to mention LeVert.
Cade/LeVert
Ivey/Beasley
Ausar/Robinson
Harris/Holland
Duren/Stewart
That is a legitimate 10 man deep squad, filled with real deal, bona-fide NBA players.
If Beasley signs elsewhere, its either Langdon has decided to move on, or he takes a bag from a bad team, none of which have signaled they are interested.
