I'm super bitter this morning. Played Devonte Smith in all my fantasy leagues.

Why would you do that?

Why would I not he was top 24 wr last year and I'm playing him in my flex...

In the Eagles offense it's not unusual for him to have very little production in a given game.

The eagles literally always start slow during the sirianni era. This was not a pretty game but honestly I think it’s progress believe it or not. The biggest thing for me though is other teams will 100% try to provoke Jalen Carter from here on out.

Ya he’s always been a head case. He was projected to go first overall but slid because of his attitude. The eagles have done a good job masking this and taking advantage of his talent.

Actually he dropped in the draft because a month prior to the draft he was in a street race where 2 people died.

I’m not defending his actions for this game but I will say that I really haven’t noticed him doing anything like this or even close to this in his previous 2 years as an eagle.

I said the same thing with Jalen Carter. I think both these guys just don’t think before they say or do things..lol with Carter, I feel like cox his rookie year and Brandon Graham through last year had a good influence on him but now they don’t really have a vet to do that.

The eagles just signed za’Darius smith so hopefully he can be that vet presence for Jalen Carter

This is just rationalizing.
The eagles weren’t passing well.
It was the running game. Parsons isn’t great against the run.
Plus they didn’t want to trade him. He forced their hand.

Not to mention Mazi Smith is starting if Micah is still on the team. Jalen himself might have run for over 200 yards if the Micah trade never happens.

You needed to trade Micah Parsons specifically to get a Kenny Clark?

There was no other possible way to get a decent run stopping DT?

I don’t know, some might say they did need to trade Michael Parsons in order to get a good DT. They traded Micah for many reasons, not specifically in order to get a DT though.

The first rounders are the key.

I dunno, it just sounds like y'all are floundering knowing this trade sucks for y'all and are trying to make up excuses as to why it was great, actually.

We have to see what they do with the draft picks before saying the trade is a bust. What if Micah destroys the Packers locker room and they’re forced to trade him? What if the Cowboys trade their 4 FRP’s for a QB that turns out to be great? What if they pick 2 HOF players with the picks they got from Green Bay. What if Micah Parsons tears his achilles in his first game with the Packers and never plays again? It’s all speculation. We just have to wait to see how the draft picks turned out to say if it was a good trade for Dallas or not.

Devonta smith and AJ brown have both been dealing with injuries all offseason. Neither of them really practiced much all summer at all. Devonta has had back issues and also a groin injury and AJ brown has been dealing with a bad hamstring.

I honestly think if this wasn’t Dallas week, neither would have played week 1. Maybe Devonta still plays, I don’t know.

I still think it’s hilarious you refer to it as “Dallas week”.

I honestly think if this wasn’t Dallas week, neither would have played week 1. Maybe Devonta still plays, I don’t know.

I still think it’s hilarious you refer to it as “Dallas week”.

See one of the things I love about hurts is he’s not a stat guy. He just takes whatever the defense gives. He’s had the big passing games. Hell, in his two super bowls he put up great passing stats against a great defense. But he doesn’t feel the need to throw it 80 yards down field. He’s perfectly fine letting saquon get his. All that matters is the dub. But like I was saying earlier, he kept drives going with both the arm and legs.

Division matchups are always big games for any team, especially the season opener. What are you talking about lol? Cowboys fans have the Eagles matchups circled on their calendar too.

Especially since playing the Eagles is the Cowboys’ SB every year. Never see them play with the same amount of effort as when they play the Eagles.
