Game 1: Lions at Packers - 9/7/25 - 3:25 - CBS

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sat Sep 6, 2025 11:39 am

How many of our "questionable" guys will play and how effective will they be?

Can our O-Line contain Hutchinson?

We went 1-5 in the division last year and 0-3 at home. That's unacceptable if a team is truly a contender, which we certainly are.

Tough 1-2 start to the schedule. Need to take care of business at home.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Pretty much how some of us thought it would go down. People were working themselves into a frenzy when they saw his questionable tag as if players don't have that designation all the time leading up to a game. Guessing they'll still keep him on somewhat of a pitch count, but he mentioned in his media availability Thursday that he's already got 80% of the playbook down lol, so maybe they give him more than we expect.

They'll definitely pick and choose when he plays. Short turnaround to the Thursday night game.

I'm concerned about the the interior DL in this one. Lions are going to combo block the crap out of Wooden and Wyatt. If they can handle it GB has a good chance of winning, if not than this will be an issue all year until they find help.

The good news is Detroit had a few changes on their interior online so hopefully that helps...but yeah that's going to be the weakness. We have to get up early on teams, control the clock, and force them into passing downs.

Walker and Cooper may need to be particularly sharp in anticipation Sunday.

It's going to be tough for them with no real NT to keep them clean except Stackhouse (who most likely won't be starting) but if someone can pull it off it's Cooper. I'm sure Gutey is already looking at possible NT (practice squad, waive candidates and trade) but right now he probably just want to see how the current team performs.

Wild time for Robinson. Cut, then PS, now Opening Game roster

Packers: The Musical
"Robinson, you're going out a youngster, but you've got to come back a star!”

Of course, he actual has to play at least one snap......

It will be refreshing to not have to open the season on a dangerously unplayable field this season.

NFL Network using way too many AI generated clips in their pre-game show. Uncanny valley era.

I don't sit and watch any pregame shows but I have them on and switch around. If any of them said "we're going to cover football only, no gambling", that would be the one I'd watch.

Reed has a Jones Fracture, right? Is it just a matter of time before he misses time/the rest of the season?? Or can he play with that all season?

I don't ever wanna hear about gold package again. This is a Green package game and there are a ton of Lions fans
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"
