Got a gift from God with a lead off double by IKF and we have to see Heineman and Gimenez pop-up when we have Davis/Kirk on the bench.

Kirk needs his rest day with the division on the line

It is not like these games mean anything. There is an off day Monday, but players still need their rest day. What a joke.

Those were Schneider's words. That acquiring IKF will allow this team to be more aggressive with pinch hitting situations in late games. Apparently not today. No clue what Schneider was thinking.

On a side note, I would not mind IKF starting in place of Gimenez a few games every week. Gimenez is really struggling at the plate right now, and contributing next to nothing. Let him sit on the bench more, since IKF is still a good defender in his place. Give Davis Schneider more opportunities with IKF replacing Gimenez.

We’re gonna stupidly demote Davis Schneider when Santander comes back in a week, aren’t we

Never felt so good before a game when viewing Fridays batting lineup.Thought we would win,and we did.
Then felt the opposite on Saturday. Are they trying to create more tension for the fans.Bassit pitched his heart out.Schneider plays his heart out.

He’s been terrible vs lefties this year, but the sample size is small. And he was actually quite good vs lefties last year. Obviously, he provides a lot more defense than Lukes, too.

Is Bo unavailable or something? He finished the game yesterday, so I figured he’d at least be available to DH.

Bo is most likely sore, but hopefully he can come in to pinch hit.

wRC+ vs LHP over the last 3 years
Varsho: 102
IKF: 64

One of those two is starting today. If you follow the Blue Jays front office and management at all, then you'll know exactly which one it is.

This FO really struggles with the concept of sample size, despite it being taught in middle school.

Collapse is nearly complete. Not optimistic it can be delayed any further given no Varsho in the lineup.

If we lose by 3 runs or less we win the series That’s how it works right?

Gimenez hit a 3 run HR off Fried earlier this year.

I wouldn't expect the smartest FO in the sport to know this, but Fried actually has reverse splits, so LHB hit him a little bit better than RHB. There was no reason to bench so many LHB today, at least not the actual good ones (Varsho), certainly not in favor of IKF who has a 37 wRC+ against LHP this season.

No doubt in my mind now that Davis Schneider is going down when Santander returns.

And Rice ends it. This Yankees lineup is by far the best in baseball, the collapse is finally here.

Im in the "if its a home game Bassitt over Max" camp. He just gives up too many deep fly balls and his secondary pitches just aren't good rn.
