Less Than a Month B4 1st Pre-Season Game!

Post#1 » by MortSahlfan » Mon Sep 8, 2025 12:38 am

I know the games don't count on paper, but I'm curious to see the line-ups, and how guys look together. Very excited. I hate August and September. At least you have Free Agency and The Draft in June/July.

I don't know if we make trades, but I'm curious about how minutes are distributed.

Back when they played at the Palace, I'd often go to one preseason game per season. Good tickets were super cheap for preseason, you'd get to see more of the young guys playing, and it helped get me even more excited for an upcoming season. It's been a few years now I went to see Preseason I believe in Cade's 3rd year it was the Suns coming to town and I believe we lost a super close game to them. Booker and KD came out with warmups and hats on in the 2nd half of the game and we mounted a comeback.

I see this year we only have one home game for the preseason and its a weeknight so with my daughter in elementary school its a no go for me this time around unfortunately.

Is the open practice still a thing?

Yeah, I used go to games - playoff, regular season, pre-season, and the practice; even when it was at UD-Mercy but haven't been to a single game at LCA. Too far and no one wants to go to Pistons games anymore, which is too bad because they're worth watching. I talked to someone 2 weeks ago and I mentioned them, and they said "Don't they have the worst record?" and ...

I would park at the gas station, avoid paying, but I didn't have problems finding my car, and I wouldn't be waiting behind hundreds of cars.

I hated that the Pistons moved back downtown. Unlike a lot of cities, the population is spread out, so having them play at a neutral site, was a great idea. (City 646,000 VS 4.3million for metro) With that said, even though I still loathe to go downtown, the LCA is a fantastic facility, and absolutely worth a visit.

When I lived in Detroit, I lived in West Detroit near the Henry Ford Mansion. I hated having to drive way out to the Palace for games. The only problem I see with stadiums in Detroit is parking and traffic. If People mover was utilized to move people to parking then that would help. For me, I always went to a bar like a half mile away or less and ride a shuttle.

i'm pumped. debating whether this is the season i see a game live in detroit (i've seen them play in toronto). it'll be cool to see the LCA now that there's energy in the building again. i'm thinking it'll probably be a sunday afternoon game so i can make the 4 hour drive home and get back before midnight.

for preseason, looking to see how a) ivey returns from injury, b) how robinson and levert fit into the lineups, and c) everyone's improvement but especially ausar and holland.

Ya man, u gotta go there. I was at the infamous THJr game for playoffs . Was an incredible atmosphere. Grab a cheap room at Caesars casino in windsor after the game.
