As usual whether MLF is considered too conservative or not is just a matter of how the team executed

Play calling didn't really change. They were running pretty much every 1st down in the 1st half (in fact their rushing definitely became more effective in the 2nd half) and Love simply made the conversions when needed and the offense looked great

What changed was they stopped making all those conversions in the 2nd and the offense stalled a bit in the 2nd half

(Still put up 10 points in the 2nd half versus 17 in the 1st half)

That was a playoff like atmosphere at Lambeau today. The way the crowd popped for Micah was incredible. It was cool for McCarthy to get a moment too. So many guys had good games today, hard to really be disappointed in anyone. Heck of a start to the season

If you have the time, this is a really good interview. Especially like the part about taking LVN under his wing.

I'm still not sold on the interior but i'm glad they shut me up for this game. It's a 17 game season, let's wait a bit before crowning them. Lions IOL is a bigger issue than i tought. We'll see how they perform vs better IOLs.

Some notable PFF grades:

E. Williams - 92.5

Cooper - 91.4

Parsons - 83.8

Van Ness - 82.7

Wyatt - 82.1

Williams, Cooper, and Wyatt ranked 1st for their respective positions. Just 1 game but I think that's pretty neat

Parsons reached a top speed of 18.47 mph when he chased down Goff for his fourth-quarter sack, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. That was his fastest max speed on any of his 53.5 career sacks, although that was news to Parsons.

"I didn't even get to really burst out yet, you know what I mean," Parsons said. "I'm going to keep getting better. There's a lot of things that I want to fix. I feel like I didn't have a complete game and, obviously, that's going to happen not playing for six months. But I can take this and build on it, and we're going to be a really good football team."

Chris Brooks might be the best pass pro RB I've ever seen

Jordan Love in week 1 was 2nd among NFL QBs in adjusted EPA/Play & 3rd in СРОЕ

That'll play

If not for all the Parsons hype, the announcers would have been talking a lot about Cooper. That guy was everywhere, shut everything down with sure tackles, no yards after catch.

I expected this from Edge and think he will continue to be a big part of the defense. I did not expect that from LVN yesterday. If Van Ness continues this we are going to be even better than I thought.

It felt like Love got a little flustered in the 3rd, and MLF pulled back a bit to calm things down and let Jacobs have a swing. Love looked really good for most of the game, but he still has these stretches where something changes, or something isn't working quite right (often in the 2nd half), and he'll start forcing throws and looking very off rhythm. I thought we generally ran the ball too much last year, but with how the defense was playing, I liked MLF clocking things down a bit yesterday.

Interesting seeing the takes from other North fans.

Lions: "The O-Line sucked and Morton was too vanilla."

Bears: "Lions look like they regressed, but Packers look a little scary now too."

Vikes: "Both teams looked mid, the North is ours."

No hold? No hands to the face. How they miss this?
