Curious if Grimes and Kuminga might follow Cam Thomas and take the one-year qualifying offer route. Net, Warriors and Sixers would then have no incentive to play them major minutes. That would be good for VJ, but not necessarily be good for the team.

I’ve been thinking about this. My game theory read is Grimes is more likely to defect than cooperate, he’ll secure a $15–16M per year multi-year deal and frame himself as a winner compared to Thomas and Kuminga. If he takes the QO, he’s up against Cam, Kuminga and others for the same money next season, which is a tougher fight.

But then again, you can never predict the madness of man.

I doubt Grimes would take QO and post that.

He’s taking atleast a 15-16M per year deal. If more, then it means trading Drum or Oubre.

We can only hope that Drummond gets traded. Hopefully doesn't cost more than 1 2nd rnd pick. Not sold on trading Oubre for nothing...

I'm still all about trading Drummond + Clippers 1st for Eason. He's a beast and will cost too much for Houston to extend (assuming they are extending KD).

If the Raptors would like to trade this Bust fellow you speak of for Broome, Mr. Twitter poster, I think a deal can be arranged.

Giddey signed 4-year, $100 mil.

I imagine Grimes news isn't too far behind.

It will be interesting to see what payroll Josh is signing off on this year.

That would be wonderful.

I suspect the Rockets will want substantially more.

Grimes can walk for that price. I don't even like the idea of them trading Kelly or even Andre to keep him

Grimes is their 14th player.

If they trade Oubre and/or Drummond, they will need to be replaced with a minimum guy(s).

Right now, they are 2M under the tax, and about 20M under the 2nd apron.

If, as I suspect, Embiid is basically done... I have to believe Josh wants the payroll as low as possible. But Morey obviously wants to keep the asset. Even though he just drafted a replacement.

It's just interesting to see where the line falls.

Just a workout, but good to see he's having basketball activities at all, nevermind with no brace... Even a light sleeve.

George said recently they're all healthy... Here's hoping
