Commanders Lead Up (TNF)
Quick turnaround. Washington beat the Giants in Week 1. Would be big to start 2-0 against two potential playoff opponents.

Defense gets another good test this week. Guessing we see a steady dose of Jacobs again.

Pack favored by 3.5. Daniels completely unlike Goff. He can run. Deebo had a good debut. McLaurin and Ertz are good. Bobby Wagner is still good. Dan Quinn a good coach. Tough game.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm still not completely sold on Washington but this is gonna be a tough test for the defense on a short week. Offense is gonna need to put up some points in this one.

I'm looking forward to my first trip of the season to Lambeau. Early weather looks like partly cloudy and 60's at kickoff. Perfect.

Re: Commanders Lead Up (TNF)
Washington has a good offense and great coaching on defense. This will be another tough game. Hate that it's ok Thursday night.
If we can win this game weeks 3 and 4 should be easier but of course any given Sunday.

Re: Commanders Lead Up (TNF)
Teams after Detroit games last year really struggled but with the relative comfortableness this game was, hopefully it led to less wear down.

This will be a tough one. Daniels is a very smart QB
Washington’s secondary is suspect though.

Re: Commanders Lead Up (TNF)
Micah Parsons had 4.5 sacks versus Daniels last year in two games.
Washington starting a rookie RT and he gave up a couple of sacks yesterday. Going to be a tough game. Two good football teams and limited rest.

Re: Commanders Lead Up (TNF)
All we hear from the NBA types is "The season is too long. There are too many back to backs. Players will get injured". The reality is that isn't that big a deal IMHO.
But the NFL, where they're playing two games in four days? Just don't like it. Those guys need the rest.

Re: Commanders Lead Up (TNF)
As much as I love NFL football I've always hated Thursday night games. Some point out the mini bye that comes after but 2 in 4 is ridiculous.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Kingsbury is a good OC. Former Packer coach Joe Whitt Jr is their DC. And of course Quinn is a good defensive coach.

Re: Commanders Lead Up (TNF)
While Daniels made an impact and Deebo Samuel took a pin/pull sweep 19 yards to the house for a touchdown, the most exciting runner of the day was rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who turned his 10 carries into 82 yards and a touchdown. Croskey-Merritt's touchdown and his four 10-plus yard runs came on five different run concepts, which speaks to how diverse and difficult the Commanders' run game can be to stop. He was clearly comfortable working out of the pistol and shotgun run game, which wasn't always the case for Brian Robinson Jr., who was more efficient under center over his three years with Washington. Installed in Robinson's role as part of a timeshare with Austin Ekeler, Croskey-Merritt looked entirely comfortable and capable of immediately stepping in as an above-average back.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: Commanders Lead Up (TNF)
With Washington being the oldest team in the league and the Packers the youngest, I'm hoping the short week favors the Packers youth and they come out with more juice Thursday night.

There's no Sewell and Decker on that Washington offensive line. Keeping Daniels in the pocket is going to be key.

Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

I hope the Golden ankle isn't anything serious.

Well he's got golden ankles and golden hands. Hope they keep up for the season.
