Re: ATL - 2025 Opening Week
Really don't know who to root for tonight. Typically I'd root for the Bears because I hate the Vikings. But Bears fans have been absolutely obnoxious this summer despite the last 35 years of being the Bears.
I guess I want Minnesota to win with McCarthy looking bad.

Re: ATL - 2025 Opening Week
I never root for injuries but both QB's looking bad would be great. McCarthy has Jefferson though. That helps a lot.
Mike McDaniel has to be on the hot seat. Daboll is on the hot hot seat. I think he throws Dart out there asap as a hail mary for his job. Stefanski maybe.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Several INTs by both would be nice, and several sacks from holding the ball too long works too.

I think they're all gone soon, though Stefanski's GM should get the hook first. Actually the Fins and Giants GMs should be on the hot seat too.

McCarthy looking like ass regardless of the game's result is the most important thing. Good QBs on rookie deals in our division is no bueno for both now and years to come.

Re: ATL - 2025 Opening Week
Considering all the Caleb reports that have come out since training camp opened up im gonna be pretty suprised if this game tonight is even a 2 score game in the 4th quarter unless JJ looks like complete ass

Definitely the ideal scenario imo

Re: ATL - 2025 Opening Week
Imagine 2012 Golden State trading Curry to the Bucks for Bogut and two firsts because they need to get better at interior defense. And this almost happened supposedly.
That's basically what trading Parsons for Clark and two firsts because you have to get better against the run is like.

Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Re: ATL - 2025 Opening Week
I think Caleb is going to be good, unfortunately.
Not so sure about McCarthy. But O'Connell is a good coach, so I would be surprised if he was terrible.
I'm not sure I care more who wins. The Vikings were a better team last year, so them losing would be a promising omen. Except, if the Bears blow them out, it'll make the Bears seem like a credible team.
So, give me something like a 13-10 Bears win, I guess.

It might be a "too many cooks" thing? The stadium is owned by Chicago Parks, but it is managed by a venue operator, and then the team itself has it's own grounds crew for the field.

I'm sure that contributes to it, but they've been getting these complaints for years. Just get all the parties in a room and figure it out.

Aren't the Bears still dickering on a new stadium too? That was a big hooha down there a year or two back

Yeah, apparently they are still planning to start construction on a domed stadium at a site they bought in Arlington Heights, but they're still trying to get some taxpayer support via tax breaks and infrastructure investments.
If they proceed, we'll have the only open-air stadium in the NFCN.

That new stadium may have all parties involved with Soldier Field hoarding their landscape dollars.
Shortsighted savings

Can't believe the league hasn't stepped in on that horrid Chicago turf. Every damn year. It took the league a year to figure out the Brazil turf. Terrible last year, good this year.

Maybe they shouldn't have had five consecutive days of massive concerts the week before game one.

Wonder if they realized AJ Dillon is not very good.
Edit: Could be a Shipley replacement too.
