When Giannis is on like that game vs Israel, there’s no better sight in basketball. Like watching Shaq manhandle dudes in his prime.

He raised the ball after his first step fainting to the gyro, but didn't do it, stepped back outside and rolled it in. That is honestly an insane addition to his game.

This was the biggest carry job i can remember on national teams level, since Dirk Nowitzki.

A thank you is not enough Giannis.
We had no business being in the top4 teams of the tournament let alone get the bronze medal.

He said that as long as Spanoulis will be the coach, he will be playing.
Another reminder that it takes a legendary personality to inspire and coach a superstar even with a mediocre roster.

Thank you.

Good luck with your season guys.

A lot of content in this interview (after the 24th minute).
Almost all questions are to Giannis.
Some key points: he feels new love for basketball when he is with the NT (makes me feel optimistic for the NBA season). He spoke about his relationship with Spanoulis. He did not respond to Sengun's comment (he lets his game answer). Also shared some details from his young years.
Towards the end when he speaks Greek the question is about what moment he will remember most. He answered the team huddle after the Lithuania game.

He also said as long as Spanoulis coaches he'll play for the NT.

An excellent interview.

When he spoke about "I wouldn't be totally shocked if I were traded, there are new owners and governors and they may have a different vision for the team" or whatever all I could think of was "How is Shams and ESPN going to run with this?" without realizing that he's speaking broadly and metaphorically. In the same breath he said he's excited for the season as the team is constructed with shooters and exciting players (per his words). Even said he thinks Cole Anthony will surprise a lot of people.

Good for clicks and all that, but there is a lot of confidence in Luka after basically a full year of play well below his normal standards. Not sure how he jumped Giannis in any world.

I'm an outlier but I don't think SGA deserves #2.

It's absurd to even put SGA in the same category as Giannis.

Do the thought experiment where you swap SGA and Giannis, anybody at The Ringer.

Antetokounmpo has been putting up even better production over the past few years than the seasons when he won back-to-back MVP awards. He has averaged 30 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists on 60% shooting in each of the past two seasons, the only player in NBA history to do so, with a combination of efficiency and dominance that rivals peak Shaquille O'Neal and Wilt Chamberlain. Antetokounmpo was healthy for the 2025 playoffs for the first time in three years, and his numbers got even better (33 PPG and 14 RPG on 64% shooting).

Wow! So he must be the best player in the league easily, right? Nope, fourth.
