Maybe it's a week 1 overreaction but the Fins are looking like a team that's starting a death spiral.

Made that comment to my dad earlier. I wouldn't doubt if he comes back but my guess is he will be looking for a real OC job

I think he made some derogatory comments about Shanahan at some point. I wouldn't expect him to come back. I think he feels like Kyle held him back and didn't give him the credit he deserved.

Didn't know that
Dude got a HC job without a ton of experience like normal guys have, not sure how Kyle held him back lol

Packers defense looks for real. 4 sacks and 12 QB hits on Daniels, who was forced to dink and dunk.

Looks like Deebo had an okay game

Interesting point made by a fan about the Commanders. Not sure about the accuracy but he claimed Washington had one of the easiest, if not the easiest schedules last season and won a lot of those games by six points or less. Washington could be regressing with tougher opponents. Not by observation. We'll see if Daniels regresses this year. He did have a really good season last year and showed a lot of poise the games I watched. Still was annoying having to listen to the board idiot annointing this guy as an elite QB week after week.

Again, I can't recall where I heard/read this. I listened to a podcast with a lot of the coaches from the Shanahan tree a while back, and maybe that was it. McDaniels felt/feels marginalized by the inherent nepotism of NFL coaching circles. Tough to blame him for that when he was surrounded by Shanahans, Kubiaks, McVays, Lombardis. He didn't feel like he got a legitimate shot early on, had to fight and claw for what he did get, and then felt that Shanahan kind of held him down, used his ideas, got all the credit, and he was overlooked.

That last might go too far. As you say, he landed a HC gig at a young age and with relatively little experience. But I think he holds a lot of resentment toward Kyle and some of the others who had a much easier road.

I think he is a but misguided then. Sure Shanahan got in the door because of his father but he was also an OC for nine years and an assistant for a couple of years before that. No one hamded him anything.

Justin Skule playing LT for the Vikings, gives up a sack to a rookie DE in the red zone, forces them to kick a FG.

KC Chiefs are 0-2 for the first time in the Mahomes era. Sure they lost to the Eagles at home. Still was a revenge game for pride at home and the Chiefs still couldn't pull it out.
