Giddey (sign and trade, contract with incentives from 25 to 30 M/year) + P.Williams
x
J.Green + O'Neale + Richards
Bulls:
White-Green-Buzelis-Smith/O'Neale-Vuc/Richards
TreJones-Dosunmu-Huerter-O'Neale/Smith-Richard/Vuc
Suns:
Giddey-Booker-D.Brooks-P.Williams-M.Williams
G.Allen-Dunn-Ighodaro-Fleming-Malauch
why for Bulls
switch Giddey "problem" in Green, in addition switch overpaid PatWilliams in O'Neale + Richards (Richards can teak the place of Vucevic when he will be buyout in february)
why for Suns
they have too many SG (Gren, Booker, Allen), without a PG
they have 3 C without a PF
so they obtein two young players in their need role

Love it for the Suns. Hate it for the Bulls. They should just up to $100M over 4 years with an ETO in year 4 on Giddey.

Agreed with JBK, Giddey is better than Jalen Green, and fits the team so much better... Eating 18M from Pat Williams is not incentive enough

I know
but i think that Giddey doesn't sign at 100x4 (he and the Bulls would be already agree), and they don't want to offer 120x4
Giddey and PatWilliams would cost 48M/year toghether, 192M in four years
Bulls doen'ts want that
in addition White is an expiring that will ask for minimun 40M per year
Green will take the slot of White
O'Neale have a friendly contract (easy to trade)
Richards is an expiring
Green and O'Neale will cost about 130M in three years

Re: Bulls - Suns
You're ignoring that the Bulls have tried Coby White at the PG, which is why they signed Lonzo Ball who of course got injured, drafted Ayo Dosunmu and then traded for Josh Giddey and even now traded for and resigned Tre Jones. Yes White can handle the ball as a SG but they don't want him as the starting PG. The Bulls are much more likely to resign Coby White who they have known his entire career than trade for a more expensive Jalen Green signed for 3 years. And the Suns are so bad that they are starting Patrick Williams?
They traded Lonzo Ball for Isaac Okoro who you left out, no mention of Julian Phillips or Zach Collins
O'Neale is 32 years old and signed for 3 years, Buzelis is their PF they don't need an older guy behind him. They had Torrey Craig most of the season and didn't play him
If the Bulls wanted to start Jalen Smith they had all year to put him in.
Richards is expiring but what he looks like is the Bulls' 4th string center
just say no

Pat Williams is the only player the Bulls are obligated to pay beyond this season. I don't see Coby White sniffing $40M per, and if I'm wrong, you shake his hand and wish him well (or just trade him at the deadline). If Giddey is locked in at $120m over 4 years with no options, then you tell him to get on the court and prove he's that player over the course of the entire season.
Giddey is too young and the Bulls too bereft of young talent to use Giddey to dump Williams. PF is the hardest position to fill league wide. You can always trade a young overpaid guy for another young overpaid guy down the road.

I’m not sure why the Bulls aren’t offering Giddy 4/120 and I would rather have Giddy than Green. Bulls screwed up. Maybe the relationship is salvageable but it’s got to be damaged. It’s wild to me that the Bulls didn’t prioritize a deal.

Good trade for the Suns, but I agree that getting rid of Patrick Williams (as the worst contract in the trade) doesn't give enough incentive for the Bulls.

Re: Bulls - Suns
two questions are the basis of the (hypotesis of) trade
1) why Giddey does'nt sign the 88x4 offer and will not sign below 100x4 without more incentives?
ANSWER:
also if you don't look at the exceptional contract of Quickley, you can't ignore
Garland and ScottiBarnes are at 40M/year, MPJ 35, Jalen Green 33, JeramiGrant 30, Suggs 30, JalenJohnson 30, Herro >30, Poole >30, Vassell 27, TreyMurphy 27
these are starters
NazReid and JabariSmith 125x5 are candidate 6° man of the year
from 20 to 22 M/years thera are: Caruso, DillonBrooks, KCP, Kuzma. All these are about 30years old and have older contract
PatWilliams is at 18 in the same team
SO the Bulls are offering a contract lesser than a 6° man
the Bulls are far away from offer a starter-contract
2) why Bulls doesn't want to offer a contract at the same level of starters in other team?
ANSWER:
A) they don't believe in Giddey
B) they know that no-one other team can offer more money
***
in both case, is not a good scenario to have Giddey for one year with QO and with right to refuse any trade
***
this put Bulls in a situation that is more favoreble to accept a trade also if is not perfectually equal

Re: Bulls - Suns
I think it has to at least include Mark Williams.. The Bulls have center depth, but Mark would be the only one with any long term upside realistically.
Don’t love pairing Jalen/Coby and Chicago isn’t going to want to tank for their own reasons, so think a third team is needed. No idea who would want Jalen, but I’m hoping not Dallas..
