Hard to interpret this in any way that isn't disgusting.

"We have certain things in common, Jeffrey."

"Yes we do, come to think of it."

"Enigmas never age."

"May every day be another wonderful secret."

It's probably nothing though.

The letter Trump said never existed....

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Manages to make birthday greetings about himself, no way that is Trump.

In other news that is no real surprise,
James Walkinshaw (D) is or has crushed
Stewart Whitsome (R) by a huge margin.
It was a blue district, the one I live and vote
in, before Jan 20. Now it's completely uncompetitive.
This was a special election for Gerry Connolly's seat
that he held for 16 years until his death several months
ago.

“I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights" - Charlie Kirk, 2023.

This is VERY bad for the country, the country will disintegrate further towards civil unrest. A small bit of “good news” out of this is that it happened in the reddest of red states, so Trump won’t touch Utah.

Common refrain, "there is no place in this country for political violence", except for the regular gun violence, which we simply cannot do anything about.

Thoughts and prayers.

I'm pretty sure I didn't have much in agreement with
Kirk. However much we disagreed, he didn't deserve
to be shot and killed. Thanks AFM on the warning to
not watch the video.

The same that always happens when somebody is getting shot in the USA.

I doubt it'll change much of anything.

I totally disagree, this country is full of nutters as it is, his death WILL be avenged, and perhaps on a large scale.

Feels like we're breaking apart. I'm shocked anyone thought that he could survive that and it took so long to announce he was gone. A student of mine rushed up and showed me the video a few minutes after the last class wrapped. Sniper apparently on a roof from 200 yards. Just not survivable at all. Ezra just listed how many political attacks have occurred in the last five years alone. Holy ---- is it bad. Feels like Yugoslavia in 1991.

Normally I'd be of the view that this will wash away in the media cycle, but at this point as Ezra mentioned, since Jan 2001 alone we've had people storm the capital, attack Pelosi and her husband, shoot and kill politicians in Minnesota, attempt to kill the gov of Pennsylvania, attempt to kill trump twice, this thing, and there's more than that too that I'm not even mentioning. It is clearly starting to accelerate, and this guy was much beloved on the conservative christian far right portion of the country.

I've been wanting this country to "break up" for about 15 years, and at this point, I'm just about ready to demand it. We absolutely need a divorce into regional countries, this is only gonna get worse w/time. I can't figure out if this is going Yugoslavia style, or something else, the rural/urban divide piece makes it very complicated.
