I agree, but I also think that a deal that protected against downside would probably cost more. By that I mean it would have needed to be 4/$120 with a 4th year TO.
That said, between Coby's and Josh's year-end upswing, I view Josh's as likely more sustainable based on how he did in the play-in, against a team focused on him.
I'm happy they got this done before it became a camp issue.
I'll say that this season isn't about winning as much as it will be about building chemistry around Giddey and Matas (and to learn if Coby is a benefit or detriment to that). The team seemed to make a decision not to take a bigger step by getting rid of Vuc (who as EVERYBODY knows I view as a major impediment to their progression/development).
