i had to remember just last week that dunc is in detroit now. i can only see him as a heat.

Missed that one in the news somehow but that's actually good to hear. The Pistons are an up and coming team. Well, they were anyway. The coiff is gonna set them back a good 5-10 wins this year.

yeah, pistons had a weird ass offseason and they deserved better. i loved the heart they showed all season long. they are a different group now and i'm not sure how it's going to play.

Some think Ivey going to take a step. I don't see it. Pistons lost 2 of their hard nose defenders and replacing Beasley for Duncan is still a downgrade. And not sure how the LeVert fit will look.

yo melo Giddey got 4 years, 100m. What do you think? Fair?

I still say Cam Thomas is being done dirty. Again, not my kind of player but averaging 20+ ppg in the NBA isn't something to just thumb one's nose at. If Giddey is getting 20 I figure Cam should be at least in the 18m range.

I think Bulls won that one, but they had leverage. Still, they were able to come to common ground with Giddey and didn’t abuse that leverage. And to be honest, the young guys they brought in need Giddey. Matas, Noa…they need to get set up.

Cam’s not my type of player either, but at worst, he’s a 6th man. A 25 ppg sixth man who was doing it for an awful team at a very young age. The Nets didn’t believe in him but another team will, and they should have tried to get him to a place where they could trade him to that type of team. I would have taken him on the Knicks as a 6th man definitely.

Nets wasting assets and hurting this kids’ career and earnings at the same time. They’re probably going to bench him and make sure he doesn’t have the ball too.

I think it's a pretty good deal. Giddey was trying to get 30 Mil and the Bulls wanted 20 mil, so 25 is a nice compromise for both sides.

The deal could end up being a massive steal for the Bulls if Giddey can replicate this for a full season

The Nets completely disrespected Cam with those cheap 1/2 year deals. I honestly don't know what they're doing over there. It's like they got Phil Jackson as GM

Crazy how much things have jumped. Giddey's salary is just a hair higher annually than Melo's 2014 contract and it's considered a team friendly deal and Melo's was considered a team killer by some.

Yes, because the salary cap was $154mil in 2014 not $63mil...

Right. That's what's crazy.

There's a difference between $24mil being 40% of the cap and $25mil being 15% of the cap to be sure.

Oh man, Silver digging deep into that law school bag with “a smoking gun is circumstantial evidence.” Wow. Sounds like he just got caught in the humidor with Monica Lewinsky —depends on what your definition of “is” is

Like every other commissioner he only seems to grow a pear when it comes to penalizing the Knicks....I'm curious to see if he takes another Mark Cuban "wet noodle" approach.

I guess if I don't have to watch the whole 48 minutes, only the highlights, the players also do not have to play all 48, just do the highlights, and go home.

Adam is gonna be really upset when he wakes up to see this

Pablo found bank statements. Payments to Kawhi are marked as "Critical". One payment day lines up with 20% of the staff being laid off. A week before, the company got a 2m investment from a new investor, another member of the Clippers, Dennis Wong, the only other guy who owns a percentage of the Clippers, and the guy who fills in for Ballmer when he misses governor meetings. Ballmer's former roommate.

Pablo explains how much financial trouble the company was in at this point, that they were late for payments, and that lines up with the finance person in episode 1 claiming Uncle Dennis was bothering them a lot for payments.

And this Dennis Wong might have known they were in financial trouble at this point and that it's probably a bad investment because apparently... his daughter also worked there?

Also, some owners were frustrated by the lack of Silver addressing the Ballmer stuff during the BOG meeting - they had to have chats on the side about it. Owners Pablo spoke to seem to agree with him that this stuff is cut and dry

These guys are f*cked. The other owners need to call for a complete tear down of the Clippers. Draft picks need to be gone for a decade. Leonard's contract should be voided.

I'm starting to see why the Spurs had no problem trading Leonard. A "No show" job is literally mob sh*t. What kind of racket is he and Uncle Dennis running here?

the thing that's really obnoxious is games being on peacock. nobody has that sh*t lol. i don't even know what's on there. that's just a blatant attempt by nbc to force some people to subscribe to it. i already pay for cable and multiple streaming services, now i gotta pay for this sh*t for the 3 or 4 games the knicks play on there this year ? and it aint even about the money. what's it gonna cost me ? 40 dollars for the few months i need it for. but y'all are just taking advantage with that sh*t.

Wow, they are f*cked. The 1% owner of the clippers first time invested 1,999,999 in to the company 9 days before they were delinquent on a Kawhi agreed too payment.

I mean its over for the Balmer and the clippers.

The evidence before was damning enough. But sinking 2 MM now when you know the company is going bankrupt as a Ponzi scheme. To pay off there "one critical" investor who did nothing for them.

And on the same day lay off 100 employees is wild!
