Void his contract and keep the cap hit on the books. Can't let LAC off the hook.

Silver should hire Uncle Dennis tbh.

$2,000,0000

Realistically, 22 million in cash as 20 million was given in worthless stock.

Dennis only "advises" Kawhi, so I doubt that banning him from representing anyone else will mean anything. He's also not the one who is held to the CBA. That's Kawhi and Ballmer/Clippers.

If there is a "fall guy," it'll be Lawrence Frank. But I think the Clippers will end up eating some fines and draft pick losses too. I'm not sure what the league will do to Kawhi, though. A significant suspension is probably most feasible.

Uncle Dennis is way too close to be a fall guy. Who is Kawhi’s Japanese-English interpreter?

Yes, that would be the Clippers tie in.

I’m saying what is their agency in the argument Ballmer and the Clippers seem to be pushing that it was all Uncle Dennis. It’s nonsensical. It clearly has to be tied to the Clippers.

Easy, Boomer. You've prob got that house in Double Bay you bought for $20 in the 1930s that is now worth $1 billion.

If the player makes it that shouldn't count on their stats either.

Why not just record it as a heave with its own shot percentage? Don’t even quantify it as a 3 point attempt.

This is not a big deal and I'm not ranting and raving here. But this is a great illustration of the Adam Silver era. They are soft or non involved in significant and solvable issues. Then they tweak stupid stuff like this, to make players look (to a minuscule degree) better. And they make the all star court a tv screen. And they have tried nine different ways to pick all star teams. Meanwhile the Clips circumvent the salary cap to land a premiere free agent from a small market team to no penalty. Load management makes families afraid to take their kids to a game. Etc.

Don’t forget the regional sports network debacle that has gone on the last few years. Silver should’ve pressured the owners long ago to get those rights back when Fox Sports blew up. The Diamond/Bally situation was an embarrassment.

I will never understand how these owners can get their stadiums funded by taxpayers, yet the broadcasts are restricted. It’s better than the old select games on UPN days, but I’d expect better for this day and age.

Players not taking last second shots to protect their stats has always been one of my biggest annoyances watching games so this makes me irrationally annoyed further.

Who was the dude who is/was notorious for chucking the shot a split-second after the buzzer?

Adam Silver is the **** woooooorst.

Read on Twitter

Adam Silver was asked about the rising cost to watch a season of NBA games as a fan of a particular team, considering all the games on either cable or streaming services. He said that there a bunch of games that will go on free, broadcast TV, and that fans can also consume the league in other ways besides watching games, noting that the NBA is a highlight league.

Kevin Durant: ‘It depends on what I’m shooting from the field. First quarter if I’m 4-for-4, I let it go. Third quarter if I’m like 10-for-16, or 10-for-17, I might let it go. But if I’m like 8-for-19, I’m going to go ahead and dribble one more second and let that buzzer go off and then throw it up there. So it depends on how the game’s going.’
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”
