First thing that showed up on my twitter feed when I logged on was the video. It's so gruesome.

I wonder how history will remember him. Also wonder the impact his assassination will have on our country and the conservative/liberal landscape. He was an extremely prominent voice. There was not one day where multiple videos of his didn't show up on my feed.

Whatever your political leanings...it's both sad and really scary that someone would think to take someone out based on having a different viewpoint. And I don't know much about the dude but was he even that far to the right?

A few points:

First, any shooting is HORRIFIC. Prayers to his family.

Second, since as of about 45 minutes ago, there was nobody in custody (the only person of interest was interviewed by law enforcement and released). Therefore, we don't know for sure whether this was a politically motivated murder (even though I believe it's very likely that it was).

Third, when is the U.S. going to get serious about gun control?

Shootings like this are horrible. Good human beings and their families and friends are the victims. That said, we know this will happen angain and again. The real question is not when it will happen but just who will be the victims.
