Let's talk specifics. Josh Giddey is now our man. He's going to be the captain of this ship, so we need to build with guys that support him and Donovan's style of play. What does that mean:
1. Shooters.
2. Athletes that can run the floor.
3. Athletes that can finish at the rim.
4. Lengthy defenders.
If you can add these elements to the team, we'll look good and we'll minimize Giddey's weaknesses.

It’s what AK has done minus a C…
- Shooters Coby, Huerter, Pat, Buz
- Athletes Ayo, Buz, Noa, Okoro, Tre
We need a defensive C and one of Buz or Coby to emerge as a legit #1

IMO if we trotted out the line-up I mentioned and we are a sub.500 team, I start to feel like keeping Coby at his likely asking price is a mistake because the opportunity cost in terms of starting spot, cap constraints and roster fit is too high.
Another way to think about it is keeping Coby at market value a good decision?
W will have a lot more data to go in next offseason. The way his handle has improved is undeniable and to his credit. If he could use his footspeed to become a plus defender at the POA… even if his challenges finishing inside continue… it would be a completely different evaluation.
Well said. I struggle with the question. On the one hand, I have routinely sold Coby short in terms of him developing various aspects of his game...his handle, his ability to shoot 3's off the dribble, his ability to get to the rim...really all that's left is improving his defense enough (what is enough? IDK). He's one of the guys in the Jimmy Butler mode of offseason improvement.

Our best lineup last year was Giddey - Coby - Huerter - Buzelis - Vuc with a +5.3 in 134 minutes.
All of those guys are back.
If in training camp or preseason someone like Okoro plays even better, cool.
But until that happens - this should be our starting 5.
Haha the same lineup but with Zach Collin’s was somehow +30 in 12 minutes together!
But yeah, I’m a skeptic about Okoro. Im not even sure he’s better than Terry
I suppose I should have said "it's our best lineup with statistically signifigant minutes together"
I remember when our bench mob with Brewer, Asik, and Gibson would just suffocate teams defensivley.
If we have a bench unit of Jones-Ayo-Okoro-Williams-Collins/Smith we might be seeing some of that again
