Good move for everyone involved, but I’ve always kind of hated the push for the Bills to be our “local” team.

They probably have the most fans of any NFL team in southern Ontario. But many fans here have other favorites going back years, Steelers in my case. Pushing the Bills doesn't mean anything, it won't make any fans drop their team to become a Bills fan.

What's interesting is that hockey had the same perception to a lesser degree... but the league responded by taking concussions much more seriously (not sure if it's seriously enough but they're at least making a concentrated effort in the right direction unlike football). I think that the football could learn from the rizz of the hockey-tuah.

I'm not sure I'm buying it. Watching the canucks games I saw some cheap shots and the NHL didn't do nothing. They're just blowing hot air from what I've seen.

This was at an end of a game that was well over. No penalty. The NHL is full of **** IMHO.

Can we have a thread where people's political opinions aren't shared? This is a basketball board. Enough boards out there for that.

I do not think these are political opinions rather people are expressing a want to not consume American goods and services based on economic and territorial threats coming from a foreign country. It is not business as usual and sports is a business. Consuming the Bills ideally means visiting Buffalo. With migration and very likely significant human rights violations commonplace stateside the boycott of personal U.S. products is for many a legitimate undertaking. It is not about party politics because if a Canadian party in the current climate did not at least try to have Canadians backs they'd be history.

These are different times we cannot sleep through these threats or live in a sterile entertainment bubble. Principles should inform consumption behaviour.

How do you know what I believe? I would have said the exact same comment if someone said something coming from the right's perspective. This is a basketball forum where people come to escape politics.

Sweet. Must have been some nice seats Bubba has put out a lot of music. When I see Dallas games I always think it would be cool to go to a game there. I like the green lights. Looks cool they do a good job. As a Canucks fan not really a fan though. Yeah sure Modano and Belfour were alright. Rantanen is okay. But whatever.
