Did we discuss this highlight reel yet? Just saw it today

wow, shot looks a lot smoother. He's picking up the ball with his wrist loaded, and letting it fly. Even off the dribble, that's impressive, looks like his trainer unlocked something

Looks like his trainer got some help.

I know it’s just a summer highlight training pack but dude looks like a different player. Much more fluidity with the ball, and making decisions quickly on the catch.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive

Y’all should see the newest run with Scottie and IQ. IQ was going off, but Scottie’s midrange shot looked so much smoother and quicker in game, just like in that workout video. It’s just a summer run so you don’t want to take too much from it just like workout videos, but it was nice to see that improvement. It makes me have a little more faith that he can get his shooting to a decent place. He’ll probably never be elite, but if he can be league average or just slightly below league average that would be a nice step in the right direction. We shall see

I swear this is the first time I have seen Jakob do any basketball runs in the US.

Guess it looks like the guys moved away from Rico runs to Miami runs.

Damn man IQ looks goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood

Think he takes a massive leap this season and flirts with all-star consideration.

isn't IQ in Toronto, saw a story of him at like center islands or on boat cruising around that area.

Will Lou noted that a number of Raptors players were on hand at TIFF at Masai's BAL/Giants of Africa documentary.

He is, this came out a few weeks ago and the actual run may have been even earlier than that to be honest. The video is from this offseason, but many weeks ago now

I like that players are still showing up for the former team president who Rogers fired.

Scotties jump shot mechanics look smoother, lets see how it translates vs better defenders

Yeah that Summer Run vid is making me cautiously even more hype about next season...not so much IQ scoring like that, I think that was the whole excitement around him when we first made the traded OG. Of course if he does start looking like the guy most of us were pretty happy to get then it raises the team's ceiling...a bit.

But if Scottie's jumper continues to look smoother & quicker release as it does in this video, that could be the difference of a 6-8th seed, to as high as 4-5th imo.

I'm not saying it would make us a contender but Scottie with even just a legit mid-range pull up & reasonable 3pt shot is a starter level all-star forward and I'm expecting Ingram to be at all-star level himself, that's not Tatum & Brown but still 2 big all star level wings, that would make them at least comparable to Paolo/Franz and I'd argue our duo would actually fit better together due to Scottie's added passing ability. If Scottie's shooting is real, I think we have a chance to be comparable to ORL...if not, then we'll be a little notch below.

That shot is quicker for sure. But with scottie, it needs to stay that away. Gotta see it in game. If scottie makes quick decisions on floor and combine that with a quick shot release, that will benefit him greatly.

Ya...I just need to see consistency with the shot and him using it comfortably throughout the entire season. Until then...I'll temper my expectations.

So players don't get better ? You've haven't witnessed a player improve year over year?

It’s also so funny because literally no one posted an essay and all of us have said something in the vein of we are cautiously optimistic and have to see it in game. If people can be negative and hate on Scottie and his trainer anytime a run comes out where he may not look great we can also praise him when we see improvement. It’s like the negative people don’t want fans of a team to believe in their players and acknowledge when they see improvement, even if it’s small. Players improve over the offseason, Scottie is only 23 or 24, he can and most likely will still improve. I don’t know why people act like once a player is 24 it’s over for them lol
