We like to believe we're smarter than we
actually are. That's one big reason why
gambling is such a lucrative business.
A lot of what we call 'thought' is just mental activity

When you are accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression

Those who are convinced of absurdities, can be convinced to commit atrocities

I guess you can’t see the caption on here, and no one’s posted anything else about it, but Wall announced his official retirement this week. I wonder what he’ll do next.

Gilbert tried to play in The Big 3. It was sad to see.

If John has a little wiggle left and some hops he's still a young enough guy. Without even doing a search engine I know he's within a couple years' age of both Beal and McCollum. He's the same age as most of the guys now in Big 3.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

You know, it would be good if Wall could retire as a Wizard. Sign him to a 1-day contract and have him go out with some respect, and accolades at one of our home games. Give the city and fans one more chance to cheer him. He was a good player for us and a good human being. He represented the team well.

I don’t have the link, but I saw a story today that Jason Collins was being treated for a brain tumor. Not a great player, but he seemed like a real nice guy. Hope the surgery goes well.

Landry Shamet signed by Knicks to non guaranteed 1 year deal, competing with another former Wiz Garrison Matthews for their last roster spot.

On NBATV, they're replaying the 2017 Eastern Conference Semifinals, Game 7.

Washington at Boston

Pretty strong starters Wall, Beal, Porter, Kieff Morris, and Gortat.

Horford was a bad matchup for Gortat. Kelly Olynyk played the game of his life. I was upset that Washington lost this series, but Boston had superior depth with Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Jae Crowder, and super sub Olynyk. Isaiah Thomas was at his peak. Avery Bradley was solid. Boston was slightly better.

The pity is that Beal couldn't miss, but John kept clanking hero shots.

Sad, this was the last "great" Wiz team, our rebuild is just getting starting 8 years later.

"Great?" Nah... But it was a rather good team's best season.

Haven't thought of my guy Sheldon Mac in a long time....

It was a weird decision by Brooks not to give Wall a breather in the 2nd half. Ultimately, Wall cost them this game and I believe Beal cost them game 2.

Me using "Great" is a reflection of Wiz fan despair, they were a good team
